The first public release of Secrets Of The Venator. I'm excited, how 'bout y'all?
Please read the full description, as this will make things easier on everyone.
It's been a long time coming but it's finally here:
Secrets Of The Venator 1.0!
Don't allow the small file size to put you off; through the use of the wonderful - and free - 7-zip, I was able to compress a ~270MB installer into a package of ~22MB.
Install instructions:
1) Once you've downloaded this file, double-click and choose a location on the desktop (or somewhere else not covered by UAC) to extract the installer.
2) Run the file you just extracted, following the on-screen instructions.
(Please, Please, Please - Read the installers readme as this is where I thank all those who have helped me along the way)
During the installation, you should be told that the install location already exists - that is a good thing so click continue. (Or whatever it is that pops up)
3) There should be a shortcut on your desktop.
4) Enjoy!
If any bugs are found, please let me know ASAP so that I can get a fix out with the coming patch that will install a story or two.
I'll accept PM's here or at EEAW and the Filefront Forums. (I'll also have a topic at those sites where you can ask questions - It'll be called 'Secrets Of The Venator 1.0')

Oh your god there's a download.
game installed incorrectly and now I cant reinstall and/or cannot uninstall to reinstall correctly...says I must uninstall (to reinstall) but it cannot find game to do so...cannot simply delete folder and other hooha either...wtf
Are you saying that the MOD installed incorrectly?
You should be able to un-install the mod from the start menu shortcut that is created when you run the installer.
Just tried your mod and it's great, some quips though, The Venator is way to overpowered to cost only 2000 maybe more like 20000 since one managed to destroy 5 Venator Mercenary units on its own. Another thing is the Providence Class for the Zann Consortium is weak weapons wise, it hardly moves and its only firing one weapon. Maybe you should make it like venator and be powerful too. Other than that this is a great mod and I look forward to more updates,

1) I never actually intended for the Hero Venators to be available in skirmish; but now that I know that they are in there, yes 20000 does seem a more appropriate price.
2) The addition of the Providence to the Consortium was really a last minute thing; I hadn't done anything major with them, and I was concerned that this might annoy any hardcore Consortium fans. I will tweak it slightly, maybe making it slightly stronger than one of the mercenary Venators.
I also just realised that I missed an Icon or two; I'll have that and the above suggestions implemented and released in a day or two.

Glad to be of Service, the Providence is actually a good addition to the Consortium in my opinion, fits the criminal motif and since the consortium lacks a juggernaut like the Venator perhaps the Providence could fill that role.
