This is an important hotfix patch for "Scramble of the Far East Beta 7". This is NOT save compatible (see more info in the description)!
This is an important Hotfix for Scramble of the Far East beta 7! NOT SAVE COMPATIBLE!
Changelog:
- Damage levels of muskets have been increased (approx. 30 to 40%). Especially rifled muskets!
- Building chains have been changed du to not be able to destroy the buildings belonging to another building chain from another culture (except town building levels couldn't be destroyed! No idea why that is).
- Starting unit caps have been lowered by a lot (still enough troops to start).
- Muskets sound have been lowered (forgot to do that).
- And some more tweaks.
Install instructions:
- Download and unzip the beta_7_hotfix.
- Copy/Paste the 2 pack files (totalf_V2_main.pack and totalf_V2_sound.pack files) in your Shogun 2 data folder (Where Shogun 2 is installed on your Harddrive) => Replace the files.

does it save the crashes i get every time when playing a battle in campaign mode though? haven't been able to play a battle for more than 5 secs before crashing
Uhm. Did you replace the 2 files with the hotfix (the main and sound pack file)? Also, delete your Shogun 2 folder in the Appdata. This resets your game.
did this, held out for a little bit longer (about 5 mins) but still crashed
Don't know what the issue can be. Maybe re-install the game and and then add the mod?
Remembered yesterday vanilla crashed on me too on my new pc when i tried 5 months ago. Was related to my gpu, apologies.
For those having the same issues with an RX 5700 XT, turn off AMD optimised Tesselation in Radeon settings and move to MLAA
