This is part 2 of 2 of the Total FotS: Scramble of the Far East mod beta 11. You need to download part 1 to have the full mod. READ the DESCRIPTION how to install the mod and for any additional info about bug fixes, known bugs and new additions to the mod. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PREVIOUS VERSION (BETA OR ALPHA)! YOU MUST DELETE PREVIOUS VERSION AND INSTALL THIS ONE INSTEAD. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY OTHER MOD!
Install:
1. Extract the "beta_11_part_2.7z" and open the extracted folder.
2. Add the 5 pack files (totalf_V2_models.pack, totalf_V2_models_equip.pack, totalf_V2_models_units.pack, totalf_V2_sound.pack and totalf_V2_terrain.pack) to your Shogun 2 data folder (Usually found by default at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War SHOGUN 2\data).
3. Download part 1 and do the same as step 1 and 2 (look at the install instructions of part 1).
4. Run the game and activate the pack files with mod manager.
5. Enjoy the game!
Changelog:
Added the custom settlement maps to the newly added region (Korea, Outer Manchuria and Russia Far East).
The Western starting battle settlements are different than the other ones (credit to Weierstrass for his coastal siege maps).
Rebel factions added for Russia, Qing and Joseon.
Some stats have changed (like some tech buffs).
Western factions can recruit all their homeland units from the infantry barracks, but only from their capital!
Added a starting army to the Qing.
Some bugfixes.
And so much more...

Hello, im just aware there is a verison 2 lol. I'm not sure ti understand what im doing wrong, I have now the beta 11 parts 1 and 2. I wasnt aware so I still have version 1 of this mod. I saw a video thats mention I have to go on steam and find the version 2 scramble of the far east, but I cant find this version on steam there is only V1. So i have V1 + scramble of the far east beta 11 parts 1 and 2. I couldnt find the "5 files" mentioned do I placed the 2 files (called beta11 part 1 and 2) in the data folder. Of course it didn't worked with the steam V1 mod manager.....so I assume I have to have the V2 but.......what beta ? 1,2,3,4 ? or is it scramble of the far East what do I need ? (If i understand well I only need the parts I currently have).
Sorry but I have a few additional questions ;)
will we still have a japanese faction or will they be all replaced ? I also play radious and darhmod, I never downloaded a mod like this before dont know how it works (I only have mods with steam) so how could I deactivate scramble of the far east ? will I have something in my steam mod manager or will I have to remove the files ?

V1 is a total different game. Scramble of the Far East is a standalone mod. Download the latest version (read description, it gives you all the info needed). Do not play it with any other mods, it's a major conversion mod.
Can you please use the latest version in the steam workshop, as I cannot do that with the installation?

Put your shogun 2 game in English. This will give the appropiate names and such. There is no translation in French for the game (yet). You can do that in steam.
Just want to say, I love your mod, it is a great mod, the best in my opinion for Shogun 2, i can't wait for the next few updates, and I have a few suggestions for future units that might make sense to add to the game:
1.Krupp cannon, The first Krupp cannon was made in 1847, and seeing as this mod takes place in the 1850s/1860s, it would make sense to add the gun to the Prussian army, with a faster reload than regular cannons, better accuracy and firepower.
2. The Reffye Mitrailleuse, a French Gatling gun used in the Franco Prussian war, it was made in 1865, alittle late, but it would fit well in Franco-Prussian Battles such as Gravelotte, it would have fast fire and long range.
3. Prussian and French units with their new rifles such as the Dreyse Needle gun and the Chassepot, i know there are already Elite Prussian units with Needle guns, but for Franco-Prussian war battles and Schleswig-Holstein battles, it would be a great addition to infantry units for those scenarios
Just some suggestions i think would be great, if you ever plan to add them that would be great, but anyways i would like to thank you for creating such a great and historically accurate mod!

I cant wait, do you possibly know when it may come out, such as maybe at the very least by the end of the month? Or the start of next month? If not thats fine, im ok with waiting as long as the wait brings a glorious new update

Hi izzi. I'm really enjoying your work. In a recent post by Altemoosburg you said that something "massive" is coming sometime in February. I'm really excited for this update because I know it will compliment all the great work we have available now. Probably not February. I am doing a total revamp of the mod. Working on 3d models and such, so i can't give you really a sneek peak.
The revamp will be incredible I'm sure. I'm wondering izzi, what mechanics/modifiers are in place in battles? For example, if my units are in cover behind walls or in trees, how much of an advantage would they get? Does this also apply if the unit is deployed behind stakes? I have also noticed that the AI often tries to take high ground. How much of an advantage is this?
I know your busy with carlist wars and Im not expecting you to add them back but how come the older versions had breech loaders while the new update doesnt have them?

because those are tier 1 units (1850's). Other tier units will come. The new team is working on it.
