Thiis the newest edition of Return of Shadow the Riddermark Edition.
The Riddermark Edition is focused on updating and improving the Rohan faction updating the faction visuals, new abilities and bunch of changes and bug fixes.

The Riddermark
The first change you'll notice is that the Rohan faction has been renamed the Riddermark faction the name the Rohirrim give to their realm.
This will come with a bunch of other changes like the change to various names for units and skills into Old English the language Tolkien used to represent the Rohirrim language.
This change is mostly aesthetic like the changes to the Rivendell (now Imladris faction).
Edoras Spearmen have been removed since they overlap with the Westfold Spearmen.
Dunhere has been replaced with Hama as the Steward hero.
The Fortitude spell has been replaced with a new spell.
As seen below the Riddermark Edition also sports some visual updates for the faction.
A new Farm, updated models for most units.

Fixes
Many bugs and balance changes have been added as well including the Edoras fix for the Evil Campaign.
Fiefdoms have had quite a few of their issues looked as well although they didn't get quite the attention that Riddermark got.
2 new shell maps have been added to the launcher Helm's Deep and Edoras.

Next Edition
Coming soon is another Edition update the Southron Edition.
An update featuring the debut of the Harad faction.
It will also have a secondary focus of updating the Gondor and Fiefdom factions.

Download Initiative Edition
Before installing Riddermark Edition you'll need the Initiative Edition as well as BFME 1.03 (at least)
Before installing Riddermark Edition make sure to disable to mod with the launcher.

I have a problem with the mod. When I install the initiative editions and the riddermark edition, The Game starts up. I get the window with the mordor picture and then I get this error:

Because of the severity of the error the game will now exit.
Patch the game to 1.03 first.

I get the "Defeated" error.
Is it because I have to disable ROS before I play the mod?

the launcher shows riddermark edition logo but the game is initiative edition without any addition.

When I play evil campaign, edoras when I break the gates the game crashes. Also edoras stairs are higher than the walls so you cant walk from the stair to the wall. Will there be more work on the campaign. I know this is more of a skirmish mod. Thanks, great mod!

Can I play with the Rohan Door warden Unit in the campaing ?
Great mod. It is easy to tell it is incomplete though because of lack of voicing. Otherwise it is great, and my favorite faction in the Imladris. However, they can't get on top of their walls... But good work!
i have an issue, i just installed the mod but i see no walls and many of the other thing+purple square around my main building
i also cant see the buildings i make and the units and more stuff from the game
could you assist me on this?
Have you reinstalled it? Also, are you using windows 10?
i do use windows 10 yes and i did reinstall everything from bfme 1 and it worked, thanks for the help!

I would like to download the Riddermark edition file but each time I get a trojan horse with it... Could you actualize the link to a non corrupted version, please?
It's a false positive in the Antivirus.
My antivirus doesn't want me to install it anyway, because he sees a trojan horse...
So it is safe, ok.
I did think that ModDB took care of stuff like that
is this mod dead or still in development?
Some feedback here... some of the faccion have their outside camps bugged and don't build at all it just takes the resources but don't build anything, and in some maps where you start with small camps you instantly loss because the camp just appear without the main structure and it destroys itself aftwards.

I have a problem. I installed Initiative Edition and Riddermark edition. Launcher is working, backgrounds are working, but it's still not Riddermark Edition. What i have to do? Vanilla version is 1.03
