Installation instructions:
1. Download and unzip the files;
2. Copy the *.pack file to your Empire data folder located in:
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\empire total war\data
Use the last version of the Mod Manager or edit the user.empire_script.txt in this folder:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Empire\scripts
Superb work. I'm not a fan of the custom loading screens, but the new french and spanish units are amazing. I know you're focusing on the american independence war, but I would love to see what you can do with sweden and russia. I can only imagine how armored pikemen, spanish conquistadores and other unique units would turn out, if crafted with this level of detail.
Thank you. Loading screens are optional.If I ever decide to rework units for other countries, it will likely be limited to the base rosters and only around mid-late 18th century. Check out 1600 mod for pike and shot immersion.
Will you be making a campiagn?

I would like to know if in the current version all the infantry units will have the "sword" in the waist.
since in version 2 only the German and official units had it complete since the others lacked the hilt
V3 units will all have the bayonet belts slung over the right shoulder for optimization purposes. Same will be used for officers' swords. Germans and French might be an exception eventually I won't promise that.
Is it possible to use your unit mod as a submod?

I'd like to keep RoAR units unique and only be available here before I make a complete release (this V3 is just a custom battle demo release). So, you can make sub-mods for personal use only until then. Also, which base mod are you thinking to make a sub-mod for?

How did you manage to use the units on the imperial splendour campaign? I can only use them in custom battles, I’m using imperial splendour rise of the republic

How did you pull this off? I have put RoAR packs in the user scripts file after all the IS packs and the game works until I click start campaign and it CTDs, would love to know how you did this!

when will v3 fully come out with the new campaign,and aslo will backpacks be on every unit?
Development is temporarily halted. Backpacks/knapsacks are and will remain a distinct feature of "middle" companies of line infantry.
Thanks a lot for this mod. I just want to ask; did sergeant majors in the British army (as well as colonials) carry a pike or spear during battle. I saw this in the 1985 film Revolution. Maybe you could include them as well as identifying non-commissioned officers (if its possible). Thanks again and I hope the campaign will come out in the near future. All the best!
There is a submod available on Total War Center forums that adds spontoons to officers. You should check it out there.

Hello sir, very great job! I love your focuse on details and authenticity. Also in other total wars I always love smaller campaigns with better details.I have question if you thinking about some historic maps like bunker hill and more. And also about the Hessians if will bring them back to fight - they very miss at least for me. Do you have some plans for future? Another armies? I love to see some European ones. The Silesian war or something like that would be amazing.
Thank you for the kind words! Creating custom maps is possible, however, I'd don't have the tools and time to do it in the near future. Hessians are an integral part of the mod and are in the works. They will be released in one of the upcoming updates. Currently, the mod covers the American theater with the countries involved and other European armies are not planned, at least not now.
So I've just installed this mod, and so far I am loving it! The amount of detail put into each unit is incredible, very nice work!
However, when I deploy the French units onto the battlefield none of the units have an officer, the spot is simply empty. Is this an error on my end, or is this just a bug with the mod?
will you do a seven years war units for the early era of the game? I just think it would be awesome to see them in the 1st or 2nd episode in the main campaign.

ah ok. just one more question. Is Prussia and Russia also going to get new looks in the future of your mod? I always thought Prussia had some cool looking uniforms back then.
Hessians and Brunswickers will be featured in the mod. They were equipped in the same fashion as Prussians. Prussia and Russia are not planned for RoAR as they are outside the scope of the conflict.

All works well however some of the unit names of my other troops have disappeared - ie. Some of my Sepoy and North African troops now just say "line infantry". Also, some of the ship names have gone - "HMS Elizabeth" in now just blank.
Is there a particular pack I need to take out or does this mod need all the packs?
I used to get the unit name bug very often. you need to make sure that you have the RoAR mod_unit LOCfile.pack in your ETW data folder. You need to save the the vanilla or any other LOC files for other mods to a folder different then DATA to avoid conflicts. Otherwise, a clean game reinstall should help. Naturally, you will need RoAR V3 DEMO.pack (main mod pack) and mod_no_vanilla_equip_V2 (to have RoAR equipment not blocked by vanilla stuff). Remaining packs are sub-mods that should improve gameplay.
I just found out about this mod and , NICE! They look so much better than what CA gave us.
I was ready to reinstall Empire and have a good ole time in the campaign, but then I read these only work in battles? So I have a question for that. Do any of the uniforms in this mod show up in the campaign or all of them are just for battles?
I really wanted to play with these. :(
Units will be integrated into custom campaign but it takes time. For now, all units are available in custom battles.
Is this version of RoAR compatible with Darthmod? If so, what is the process to make that happen?

Yes to historical generals. However, I will not be making custom faces, except for maybe Washington, who is already available in vanilla.
Even after following all instructions, this mod completely failed to function :( a little help would be benefecial.
Check integrity of ETW game files, remove any RoAR mod files from data folder and replace them with those that come with V3.1 DEMO. Ensure that you update the user script file. I have tested everything on a clean system. Everything works in SP and MP.
I'd like to report a bug. Whenever I play as America with this mod loaded, it removes vanilla local militia and line infantry from the game. These units are the backbone of the Army and it is impossible to fight in numbers without them. All I have to recruit are a limited number of marines, Cavalry and artillery units. Please fix in the next update.
The point of the mod is to replace uhly vanilla units completely. Militia will added when I finalize the models.
Well, How are you gonna play as America in a campaign if you removed them? The only options as far as I know is elite units with limited recruiting.

I recently installed this mod, and when I play as the modded nations, neither of them have the Generals Bodyguard unit. The US doesn’t even have Minutemen or militia.
Both will be added in full version of the mod
