Here we have the 1.3 version of Pleiades's Realism Sound mod. This mod gives the true sounds that the weapons really sound like.
Realism sound mod v1.3
------------
by Pleiades aka RuhigSein (My ingame CoD2 name is fugs)
------------
I took sound files from real recording videos. All guns are the exact sound you'll hear in real life. The guns are a lot louder and have more force in real life.

Note:
Meh, on v1.2 too many people argued that they're "too same" or w/e
I constantly tried to explain why that is... Let me edge that out a bit.
"On Movies and Video Games, they make guns sound so different so you can tell who's shooting what."
"In Real Life, it's very hard to tell, because about all to most guns sound the same. They all make a "Pop or Chop" followed by an Echo."
Most guns sound the same, but do not sound EXACT, depending on their Caliber.
I'm gonna show you a brief of what guns sound similar. Look at the Text below to understand.
--------------------------
Guns -
9mm: Sten, Grease Gun, Mp40, Luger (They all make the same sound, but do not sound exact)
7.62x25mm: Ppsh, Pps42, Tt30 (Ppsh and Pps42 make the same sound, but have different firing rates. The tt30, though the same caliber sounds different.)
7.62×63mm: B.A.R., Springfield, M1 Garand (They do not sound the same, at all. The Springfield and M1 Garand's "Pop" sound Similar, but different Echoes. The Springfield sounds similar to all the other Bolt-Acition Rifles.)
7.62x33mm: M1 Carbine (Makes a light pop with a heavy echo, may sound similar to the Gewehr 43)
7.92x57mm: Mauser Kar98k, Gewehr 43, Mg42 (Mauser sounds similar to the Nagant, Enfield, and SVT-40; The Gewehr sounds Similar to the M1 Carbine. Mg42 sounds like how it should.)
7.7mm: Lee Enfield, Bren (The Enfield and Bren sound completely different. The Enfield sounds similar to the Nagant, SVT-40, and Mauser... That's just how they sound.)
7.62x54mm: Mosin Nagant, SVT-40 (They sound Similar, but not Exact. They also sound similar to the Mauser, Enfield, and Springfield.)
7.92x33mm: Mp44 (The Mp44 makes it's own Unique sound; I think it sound a bit Similar to the B.A.R., but hey they're both Automatic Rifles.)
7.62x51mm: 30cal, Buffalo 30cal (They're the same guns, just mounted on different things... They make the same sound, which has its own unique sound.)
11.4mm(.45 ACP): Thompson, Colt45 (They both make a "Chop" but the Colt45 is Heavier, sense it's a Pistol. The Thompson was taken from an "Automatic" Source, sense the Thompson is usually fired Automatic.)
12 Guage(0.729 Inches): M1897 Trench Gun (Shotguns DO NOT make a "BOOM", only inside buildings. Most of them sound just like Rifles, except with more chop. The Trench Gun sounds similar to the PPSh, PPs42, G43, and Carbine.)
--------------------------
Cannons -
20mm: Panzer2, Flakvierling, 20mm-Armored Car (They're all the same "20mm Cannon" So they all sound the same)
57mm: Crusader (The sound may be a bit low quality, but this is the only sound I could get for 57mm)
60mm: Mortar (Mortar sounds like a Mini-Cannon. Doesn't sound much like Artillery, and Tank Cannons.)
75mm: M4 Sherman (Has it's own 75mm cannon. Sounds similar to 20mm, but more power and force.)
88mm: Tiger, 88mm Flak Gun (They both have that same "Pow" effect, but the Flak Gun, has more Depth to it, being that it has a stronger Cannon.)
--------------------------
Explosions -
I did the best I could to make them alot louder, so they can have fit to more power.
Explosions are set to, like how they sound on dirt, wood, metal.. etc.
Alot of them Sound Similar because... it's an Explosion.
Grenade Explosions sound Different from Artillery. Artillery has ALOT more Power to it.
Vehicle Explosions are not that much Powerful from a Grenade Explosion. (Unless the entire Vehicle is set to pieces, it's not gonna make much of a difference.)
About Debree, you can hear debree, but In Real Life, it's hard to hear debree right in the midst of a LOUD Explosion.
P.S.
If anyone feels the need to alter or change any sounds, feel free too. I could care less what you do with it, as long as you have the amazing sounds I've added =)
I'm not very good at Sound Editing, this was the best I could do, with my own Abilities.
If you are good at Editing Sounds, to make them fit best for the game, please do.
If you do and decide to add them to the website, make sure you acknowledge my name (Not for Popularity Purposes, but for prohibiting Plagiarism.)
I advise you to not alter the soundaliases folder if you do not know what you're doing.
