cannot open portugues.dat when pressing setup.exe
that's weird, this is the SAME install released in 2007 in my clan, MANY people already installed several times without problems. I already installed at least 20 times myself. Wich OS are you using? Never tested on Win8, but the downloaded file could be corrupted too.
sorry for the late reply. it's win7 x64. i reinstalled my system several times, but it still won't work.
i even tried the version off 4shared (mods.hajas.org)
please fix it. you may upload a version of the installer where the Portugułs.dat file is removed from the installer's dependency as it seems to be corrupted //possibly due to bad encoding. i mean what the hell is this? -> ł

it's not even part of the portugese alphabet. something went wrong.
you could just upload the whole pack in a .rar and all would be fine. please?
I just tested in my Win7 64bits and is working perfect like always... dunno if is your Win7 copy the problem... maybe installing the PT-BR language pack at your windows might work... but the files are perfect m8... sorry.
that didn't work either. tried both portugal and brasil portugese pack.
so seams a problem with your windows... my XP is english it's working since 2007 with over 50 installations (I'm owner of a LAN house)
WTF is the difference between this and Quake II Evolved?

Recently installed this (awsome indeed) mod, and it works smoothly on my win7 64bit system. I have two problems though, which I hope will not sound too silly. First, no music.
Second, when attempting to change screen resolution, the game starts reloading but then crushes while showing the loading screen with "awaiting frame" at the bottom. Help would be much appreciated!
PS: Note that I face the same problem in all Q2E versions I have tried.
The download version doesn't have music. You can put a music CD at your CD-ROM and the first 9 tracks will be used as soundtrack. The CD-ROM version come with a music compilation selected to the game, mainly the songs from this video: Youtu.be
But if you mean no music and no sound, you need to install openal drivers! about the resolution, some resolutions might have problems with few monitors... FULL HD and HD works fine to all my machines and BC members (more than 250!).
