How do you run the project brutality 3.0 build? Do you just drop the folder on to the GZDoom exe?

Nope, you gotta open the project brutality folder and drag the JMartinez file over to the gzdoom.exe.

Please make sure you have the most current GZDOOM. I’m going to update the pack and include the master file for project brutality, along with JMartinez build, just in case anyone has problems with it but everything in my pack has been tested with 4.5 and 4.6. So make sure you’re up to date and try again.

Open the gzdoom folder, send the gzdoom.exe to your desktop, then open a new folder, put in one of the project brutality files, either JMartinez or Master File, along with whatever HUD, map(s), guns or addons you may want and then highlight them all, click on the project brutality file while it’s highlighted and drag it along with everything onto the gzdoom.exe on your desktop and let go, then start the game.

You can run all of the Project Brutality addons together if you'd like. It's up to you what you want to use while playing. I run JMartinez with the Glory Kill addon, HMG, HGL, UNMAKER, CSSG and the PB HUD.

Everything in my pack is it's own standalone gameplay modification for the original DOOM 1 and DOOM 2. The only files that can be run together will be included in their own individual folders. You cant run 2 gameplay mods at once. Please forgive me if I am misunderstanding you.

Minus the HUD's, PB3.0 addons, Gore Mods, Meatgrinder-Monsters Only and Motion Blur, everything else is a standalone gameplay modification. Everything you can use for PB3.0 is labeled but for example if you wanted to play the HELLCRUSHER mod, you could use the Ketchup gore mod, a HUD of your choice, map(s) of your choice and the Hitmarkers addon and those will work together.

Should include executable batch for each pack/collection/mod or a doom mod manager like WMD/ZDL ... cmd batch is more professional for me

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy. This was only meant to be a collection share, with everything in one place. Then others can choose to load them however they want. I actually intended on making batch files for each but it would have taken way too long to go through each one. I just wanted to put everything in one place so you wouldn't have to search around or make a discord account to get some of the popular mods and addons.

which means they will become obsolete so soon

I try to keep this updated anytime a new version of PB comes out, along with the addons. All the other mods I threw in here because I enjoyed the versions that I included and didn’t honestly feel the need to update them each time something changes. I will only do that with PB3.0 and it’s addons.

The master branch and my build/fork of PB 3.0 (which has my fixes) on this starter pack may be obsolete by now due to the upload date. I highly recommend updating. Thank you so much for the info brother! I try my best to keep this up to date when I get the time. The build you sent me before with the SSG sound fixes and the fixed fighting mechanics is the one that is currently in here, along with the older master file. I will have to test out all the updated addons with your current version and make sure everything works smooth before I update the pack again. Thank you for all the hard work you do on this game and for also being helpful any time I’ve had requests or questions. You’re the man!

Dude, thanks a lot for this pack! I played most of the included mods before (except Hell Crusher, which will probably be my new favourite weapon mod for a long time) but there's a ton of great Wads that I either forgot or didn't know, great job. Can't wait for "V2"!

FYI, I had to reupload the pack because the previous Beautiful Doom mod was not working with GZDOOM 4.6, so I put the newest version of it in the pack and uploaded it again. As far as V2 goes, I will be adding a few new custom files very soon. So stay tuned!

if any one reads this please tell me how you can get a stable FPS because when I got to the Third level of Doom1 it chugged like crazy. I even turned of all the gore setting and it still chugged hard. PLEASE HELP!!!

If you haven’t already, download the current GZDOOM 4.6. It allows you to adjust the FPS in the menu.

CSSG Shells Updated V5 interferes with project brutality's weapon mode select
edit: the weapons in this mod pack seem to cause issues like default weapons not showing up on the map even when summoned, and the previously mentioned thing

is there somewhere we can go to read a complete item-log? or a list fully detailing every file within this .zip archive???

Im specifically interested in the "30+ Wads and Megawads
30+ Gameplay Mods, such as: HellCrusher, SuperCharge v2.8, LitDOOM, EOA, ZAGEMOD, etc.." part, mentioned in the above description.

But regardless of those 60+ or so items, it still would be nice to be fully informed, prior to committing to this almost 3GB download.

Hey man, I came here to say thank you for making a mod compilation/build of Brutal Doom v21! I really liked that comp

I do have a request in regards to this one though, can you please upload this to MEGA? I had trouble downloading this one (I downloaded your BD Starter Pack since someone in the comments from that one asked you to) so I hope you may do the same to PB as well

I'm sorry but I simply cannot pass E1M3: Toxin Refinery. The FPS drops to a halt as soon as I enter one of the first doors. It's just me?

Running Project_Brutality-JMartinezFIX through the latest build of GZDoom (4.7.1) instead of the version bundled with this package solved the issue for me.
