Full version of Priboi Story Overhaul 2020. Release date 8th of November 2020. Shaders have been removed from this release, available as separate download.
Years ago i asked dezodor from Team Dez0vawe for permission to give Priboi Story an overhaul. That was in 2010, the 27th of November to be precise.
It started with enabling the tasks that were disabled from the Vanilla game.
It escalated up until version 3.2.5 was released in september of 2012 (if I remember correctly).
Taking a break from modding, I made some attempts to get into making the final version the next couple of years, until I took quite a long break.
In 2015, I made a few more attempts to start up again, but other things came in the way.
Fast forward to 2019, when I got my second wind for modding, and started finalizing this version, which I decided to name Priboi Story Overhaul 2020. This will be the final version. :)
Special thanks go to NatVac, for his immense help in getting this done, and helping me out of the tight spots, and for letting med use some of his stuff from ZRP.
Also I wish to thank kdragon for his feedback, and testing of the new version.
This overhaul is based on Priboi Story with the latest patch (version 1.1.3).

Installation:
1: Download
2: NB: If you already have a gamedata folder in the SHOC installation folder, either delete it, or rename it
to gamedata_old (or similar), in case you wish to keep the other mod/Priboi story contained in the Gamedata folder.
3: Unzip, and copy gamedata folder to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow Of Chernobyl installation folder. NB: Use 7zip: www.7zip.org
4: Edit fsgame.ltx as usual with mods ($game_data$ = true|true|)
5: Start a new game.
NB: If you previously have been using mods that change some of the files in the bin folder, or other game folders. I would recommend a new installation of the game before starting this mod.

What has been done:
1: A lot, probably more than is listed below, some small changes/tweaks have not been documented, and since there has been a big time gap from inception to release, I can't remember hem all :).
The game takes place after Call Of Pripyat. The text, in the PDA, etc. has been modified to reflect this.
New gun models for some of the guns:
- LR-300
- L85
- AK74
- AK74u
- Abakan
- SIG550
- AS-VAL
- SVD
- SVU
- Vintorez
- Bizon SMG
- AK-103
- Groza
- Nato weapons are more scarce.
- SR-3 "Vikhr" removed (after using new model for AS-VAL, the game crashes when spawning the SR-3 "Vikhr") Will be added if someone can fix it :) )
- Increased timer for X-Virus. Since the timer has a tendency to run very fast on modern PC's.
- Changed icon in inventory when not wearing armor to default (sweater, & pants).
- Healing Bandits, Mercenaries, and Freedom members now possible (They will change faction to stalker/loners, and become friendly). NB: If you heal an enemy, and he is part of a task (e.g. kill bandits in Agroprom, or similar, the task can't complete. If you kill him after healing him, beware of relations with Loners/S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S.).
- Changed repair dialog. (Petrenko has his own dialogue for reapiring weapons).
- NPC's are a bit more resistant to attacks from mutants physical attacks.
- Added some more dialogs when talking to NPC's.
- Changed the icon of Lt. Priboi in the dialog screen, and in 3rd person view (when not wearing armor).
- Updated the encyclopedia, with new info.
- Fixed the Hand Radio icon in the PDA/Encyclopedia
- Treasure manager edited, removed conditions related to SHOC. (All stashes should be available now).
- Reduced carry weight, max walk weight, and limited the number of items in the belt to 5 items.
- Reduced walk speed and running speed, you should still be able to just stay ahead of most mutants, provided you have the stamina ;).
- Tweaked weapons damage. My aim is to make the weapons more real (bullet speed, damage inflicted, range of the bullet, bullet impact, etc.).
This will make the game harder, so keep your head down in combat, but also reduces the amount of ammo you need to carry.
- Tweaked impact, piercing, and impulse on the ammo, so hopefully it is closer to real-life :)
- Tweaked Shotgun effective range
- Added more music to Duty radio, and Bar radio (this music also plays at the Army Outpost, and at the Agroprom Institute where the Mercs are).
- Revising trader inventory, and availability (traders having less ammo, and weapons in inventory) also prices have gone up.
- AP Ammo is more scarce, will be given as part of the reward for tasks, or found. Some traders might have it on occasion.
- Traders give much less money for stuff, and they do not buy all items.
- Freedom, and Monolith are neutral to each other
- Fixed the "detector-buy-cheap-and-sell-for-loads-of-money" "bug" at Sakharovs place. (Sorry guys, no easy money anymore).
- Dividing some of Sidorovich & Freedom tasks to NPC's.
(changed the text so it will fit better to the NPC giving the task))
- Many NPC tasks are repeatable (varied the time for different tasks)
- Changed values in the weapons so that (hopefully) NPCs will favor Assault rifles over Sawn-off shotguns,
and double-barreled shotguns (BM16 Full and TOZ-34).
- BM16 sawn-off, and TOZ34 sawn-off shotguns, can be equipped in the pistol slot. Icons were resized to fit into the pistol slot.
- Economy is harder: NPC's have less money, NPC's will not buy everything.
- Hunter's find the family rifle task has been changed. You will nedd to find 1 additional item, apart from the rifle.
- New weapon added, the weapon can't be bought at the traders, it is located in a stash, new scope for the new weapon :-)
- New sound for Unique Silenced AKS74U.
- Added new sound to the L85, FN2000, and AK-103, when using a silencer.
- Fixed Silencer position on the SIG-550
- FN2000 can now use a silencer.
- Fixed reload sound SR3 Vikhr.
- Tweaked Scope & Grenade Launcher position on some of the guns.
- Tweaked Dolg SEVA Suit & SEVA Suit values.
- Gave Colonel Skull a new name. (Col. Skull is most likely killed when Marked One did his thing in 2012)
- Unique SVD added to a stash.
- Changed the weight of artifacts, artifacs do not all weigh 0.5 kg anymore, a few artifacts have their attributes changed a little.
- Reduced Zone respawn/population, NPC's respawn slower (Respawn Population Management 1.0 By NatVac).
- Added some new names to NPC's (from Roadside Picnic).
- New trader in Cordon, a familiar face returns to Cordon :).
- Sky4CE SkyGRAPHICS Mod v2.0 RC4.1 added (Motion Blur is disabled).
- Antirad has side effects (reduces health, and stamina when used).
- Priboi Electra artifact added to a stash.
- Workaround for reputation bug.
- Added EggChen's Particle Enhancement
- Added additional shelters from Blowouts (1 in Red Forest, and 3 at the CNPP.
- Changed the weapon in Hunter's task from bm16, to Scoped Mosin Nagant.
- Moved some Corpses around (Boar Lair, and the farm in Cordon), and removed the corpse that spawned the extra trader in the rookie village.
- New Artifact activation.
- Anomalies are more dangerous.
- Removed some Bar Music, added some new.
- Removed background sounds from Yantar (Helicopter that is not present).
- Removed Helicopters from Pripyat.
- Removed background battle sounds from CNPP level.
- Added new level changers, some levelchangers appear after certain tasks (Again many thank to NatVac :) ).
- Fixed zoom for weapons.
- Removed Minimap, you will still get an audio beep when people are near.
- Food does not re-generate health.
- Dialogues have been tweaked, and hopefully all have been fixed.
- Various fixes and tweaks (It has been some years, and I can't remember them all anymore :) ).
- Fixed/changed text, and icons on the new vodka types.
Fixes/Changes per 11th of July 2020:
- Removed some Permacorpses from the different levels
- F2000 & G36 zoom increase.
- Streloks AK was changed in ui_equipment to look like the 3D model
- AK103 shot sound changed to the same as the AK47
- Fixed campfire in Army Ware House level Stalker house + Merc house
- Fixed Stash in Red Forest/Radar level
- Fixed weapons damage when using silencer.
- Level Changer from Radar/Red Forest to Army WareHouse was fixed. Lt. Priboi now enters the level a bit further away from the Freedom camp
- New "secret" Level Changer. Not visible on any maps, provides a shortcut to Radar/Red Forest.
- Fixed Bandit weapons Garbage + Dark Valley they have better weapons now.
- Fixed Darius6 NPC model in the Garbage Level (The old model was causing an CTD).
- Grenade Launcher on AK74 & Abakan can use all grenades.
- Tweaked Blowout. Game checks every 8 hours if the conditions are right for a Blowout.
- Fixed campfire at the Army Outpost. (Sometimes the Colonel would get stuck in the fire).
- Fixed couple of Bar radio files to work in SOC.
- Level Changer Pripyat to Radar was moved a bit.
- Level Changer from Pripyat to CNPP was moved a bit.
- Sprint with PKM now possible.

Q: I get a CTD with the error "193 Invalid vertex for object", when starting a new game
A: The game is trying to spawn something in a bad place/location, and crashing the game. Start the game again, and choose start New Game.

Freedom is neutral to stalkers, if you want to restore the original gamerelations, go to:
- \gamedata\config\creatures\
- delete the game_relations.ltx
- rename the game_relations.original, to gamerelations.ltx

Q: The Zone is to sparsely populated, I wan't more people to shoot at!
A: NatVac's Respawn Population Management 1.0 was used to minimize respawning, do the following to tweak, or restore Priboi normal respawn:
- Edit the se_respawn.script to respawn npc's quicker.
Or
- Delete the se_respawn.script in: \gamedata\scripts\ and rename the se_respawn.original to se_respawn.script
This will restore the original respawn rate.

Q: My PC can't run with Sky4CE 2.0 RC 4.1
A: Delete the shaders folder in the gamedata folder.

Q: Sky4CE 2.0 RC 4.1 messes up shadows and/or graphics.
A: Set the game to full dynamic lightning, I have experienced that using static lightning messes up the graphics with Sky4CE 2.0 RC 4.1 installed.
If you can not run Full Dynamic Lightning on your PC, delete the shaders folder.

Q: Timer for the X-Virus is running insanely fast.
A: Limit FPS to 30 FPS then this should do the trick, the time limit was increased giving you more time in X18 to find the antidote.

Q: How to enable 3rd person view in the game?
A: Open user.ltx (C:\Users\Public\Documents\STALKER-SHOC), and add the following:

So you suggest installing it on a 1.005 SHOC, right?
Yes, the Overhaul was made for 1.0005.
The 1.0006 patch works also, I have tested it on the GOG version of the game which is 1.0006 patch.
To my knowledge it does not work on the 1.0004 patch.

To my knowledge only a French translation was made for PSO3.2.5
I do not think there is a Russian translation.
Maybe the error you get in your previous post is because you use the Russian version. I do know a bit of Russian, but sadly not enough to make a translation, sorry about that.
Everything on my end is running smooth I just have one question. Where besides underground is it safe from a blow out? I've only had one hit and I was in the check point before the garbage which is usually safe. Not this time...

If you check the map in the PDA, it will show you the safe spots.
I can't remember if the house at the Level-changer was a safe spot in the original Priboi Story. I did not remove safe spots, I have added a couple more to the mod.
One of the reasons I always leave a car at the bridge, and one at the level-changer Cordon-to-Garbage, is that you will need a car to reach the safe spots in Cordon. :)
You have about 20 or 30 seconds more time (as opposed to the original Priboi Story) before the blowout will kill you.
hi dude , i am using the 1.0006 version and i can't go to garbage , when i go to the house (portal between garbage and cordon) the message doesn't pop up .
btw map doesnt appear in the game and the health bar is not complete appeare (the stroke bar around teh health bar is gone and the stamina and the armor bar is not sivible aswell
Talk to the commander about earning money. It will take you approximately 2 in-game days to collect the stuff for the commander.
If you read the Read-me, the mini-map has been removed, the Stamina bar, and armor bar were removed in the original Priboi Story, I removed the mini-map from my version.
Evertyhing that has been altered in the Overhaul is in the Read-Me. :)
dude i left the cordon , now iam in teh 100rads bar and got the mail , in your walkthrough (page 13) you say that you can here , but where is here ? there are no marks on the map / pda or any clue for it
The Walkthrough was made for the original Priboi Story, and was made by Team Dezowave, not me, so I can't take credit for it :).
You will have to look around, and think out of the box, and be creative, go on paths that are seldom trodden.
There are some clues in the task description.
The documents you will have to find are not moved in this version. they are in the same places as in the original Priboi Story. :)

btw - the gut at the bar that wants his family rifle back has bug - i got the gun for him but the option that he receive the gun and make the missions finish is not available
You have to provide him with an artifact also. Did you read the text in the PDA, and the dialogue when he gives you the task?
You will have to search near the Duty base for the documents. Also there is a letter from Sidorovich in the safe in the backroom of the bar.
i red it thought they were 2 different objectives sorry
i suspected that the document must be there casue the building that was described is really the same with the building that has a hole on the roof and its next to the duty base .

Glad you like it. The original Priboi Story was in my opinion the best mod/conversion made for SOC.
Call of Pripyat "borrowed" some story elements from Priboi Story.
The more you explore the more you find. I take my time and do side quests to get some better equipment.

1 point here there is a bug or maybe a features that you can harvest money by quick saving at rostok (near the bar) and reload it - after that enemy will invade the base and by others killing them you can collect their weapons and guns to sell em
That was something Team Dezowave added in the original Priboi Story.
It is random when it happens, but a quicksave and reload, can trigger it. Or when you enter the level normally.
I have tried to balance the economy between challenging, and still keeping the game entertaining so you don't have to grind for an eternity.

1 bug ( i am sure this time ) - i am at CNPP and found all 2 docs + the lost squad but i cant go back to the pripyat ! what should i do ?
and another thing that i am scared of atm is taht i have found each and every doc possible and got the message about it ! but on my pda its talking about the docs from agroprom !!!! is it normal ?
There should be one. It is just to the right of the gate where you enter the level. If you jump right in front of the first fence post to the right of the gate, you will trigger the level changer. it is marked on the PDA map.
If it is not on the map, check if the other Level changers are working. There is one from Cordon to Agroprom, and one from Agroprom. If they are not visibel on the map there probably was an error when you finished the Vodka task in Cordon.
Have you modified some of the files? or did you just unpack the 7zip file?
I have not have anyone else report this issue.

i got the docs from x18 but still the mission of cnpp acident report #1 is still there ;_;
The Level Changer is by design ;) it is a fence, so naturally you will ahve to jump to get over it, the LC from Cordon to Agroprom, and Agroprom to Yantar are the same, you need to jump to go over it ;)
Perhaps you are missing a document that precedes the cnpp accident Report #1 I can check later after work, in what order you get the documents.
its done i finished it i checked every possible doc place but nothing was there , any way i finished the mod ! it was a PAIN in the *** ! great job with it mostly the last part , i got to ask the place where you take the last doc after that is it scripted to show does flashes of zombies , blood suckers and stuff or was it out of blue ?
and the mode is like 9/10 great job guys . thumbs up for you .

If you are underground, it was probably a blowout that happened, that was probably a coincidence, it is not scripted.
The blowout spawns mutants. The blowout are different when you are underground, as opposed to above ground.
Not sure about the document, I have not seen that in the current version, might just be a one-off bug.
I guess you did not find the hidden level changer :)

so the blowout was so on time and timed in a good way , i was reading the last doc and was wondering wtf ? some parts don't match how can this thing work in some peaces ? ( the Government thing was coming to my mind ), and then the screen went orange , i got a little scared after that a sound of a controller start to come up , then some flashed of mutants and bloodsucker and these stuff start to show up (at that point i ****** myself , then after like 10 seconds moanings of zombies and other things start to come ! (imagine you are deep down in CNPP , a new place that you haven't been to after you kill every one this things happens !) some zobmies start to appear i thought it was a blowout but then after that some dwarfs start to shout and throw things at zombies (it was at this point that i **** myself) ! why ? there was nothing about this happening in the walkthrough , and i know that this thing is not normal at all ! i geared up and started shooting till the gun collapsed (at that point there was still things moving and coming toward me ! ) i grab my stuff and just clear a way to the door to outside ,) over all that was one scary experience i got .
i am assuming same thing it might be a miner bug about the doc .
i assume i did :D i am not really sure casue some lvl changers was in there and started to get activated when i was in there .

hello! my game froze to the point of needing it to close via task manager whenever i tried to get out of the Bar and there's no crash logs. Any solution to this??

Is that after you killed the Freedom leader? that should not happen in the new version, and it should have been resolved in the 3.2.5 version also.

Q: The Game freezes when I try to leave the Bar
A: The game is seemingly trying to spawn something when leaving the Bar.
It starts after killing the Freedom Leader. And it stops after collecting the last document.
I have not been able to find what triggers this. If someone finds a solution please post it on the GSC Forum, or email me, then I can make a patch to fix it.
WORKAROUND: I have included 2 screenshots of where the game is most likely to freeze
1: Make a quicksave, or normal save, just when reaching this point.
2: When the game freezes use CTRL+ALT+Del, open Task-Manager, and end the game.
3: Start the game, and reload from the last save. (The game often spawns NPC's or mutants when reloading the save).

but the difference is that it's the first time i entered the bar. 4th day in the zone, just took the flash drive from the dead guy in garbage and killed the mercs in agroprom
O yeah i ran to a issue before that still in the bar and crashes because of val having the capability to have a scope don't know why, but i disabled it then no more crashes
That is a weird error, the Freedom leader freeze error is gone, so it is not that that caused the freeze.
I have never seen this before. You should be able to go around the different levels and not strictly follow the path of the documents, without the game getting an aneurysm.
In my game I have the AS VAL with a scope, it is in a Blue box in the Bar area, without the crash.
Those errors/anomalies I can only contribute to the game itself.
It can sometimes be a nightmare to mod, and to fix errors, some only crop up once, and some can be repeated. I think that the game messes something up and just crashes.
The CTD's I experience, all-though very seldom, are one-off errors.
Sometimes it's an .dll R2 error, sometimes it a NPC model that causes the crash. But I have yet to have them duplicated more than once. It's never in the same place, or time.
I think that the Alife engine sometimes becomes self-aware like Skynet, and just has a mental breakdown. :D
All that said, I do re-install the game from scratch (GOG 1.00006 version), just to make sure that the game-files are all in order. Perhaps that could be a solution.
the problem with theVal is something about CKinematics SetBoneVisible
but i read a post in the Dez0 forum that having theVal the capability of mounting scope breaks the npc skeleton so it crashes the game

Well i still could play it so no problems for me. If i finished Lost Alpha 1.3000 without taking a break from the nerve wrecking crashes on generator how could this minor nuisance stop me.

Hi 100 Rads Bar,
Got thru Sarcophagus, stopped short of steps to North NPP (low ammo, etc.), stopped by lost squad and returned to Yantar & 100 Rads Bar. Picked up a task to kill wanted soldier in Agoroprom. After I killed him a quick message flashed (only word I caught was "traitor"). Returned to 100 Rads via Warehouses and EVERYONE was trying to kill me. Worst part was a stalker "personality" (didn't recognize exactly who he was) became IMMORTAL (5 grenades, 3 clips AK-103 and I can still hear him laughing). Love your game and I am pretty curious what happened here?

There are 2 ways to avoid this.
1: Don't do the task ;)
2: Use an explosive barrel. This also works for the other assassin tasks.
Doing the task gives you a quite a hit in your reputation, that could make some neutrals an enemy.
If you kill 3 from the Military faction directly, you will be marked as a traitor, and change faction to Bandit.
The immortal stalker might be Arnie the Arena owner, I think he is immortal.
Also, what do I have to do or who to kill to access Fang's tomb. I have hit it by accident in several games, as well as yours but can't pinpoint the key.

You have to complete a task for one of the patrons at the bar. I have to check the files which one, but I think it's Hispan The Hunter.
Edit: It is Hispan The Hunter who gives you the stash location.
Edit 2: In my Overhaul it is Hispan The Hunter.
In the Vanilla game the stash is given by searching a body of a stalker in the tunnel under Yantar, it is randomized in the Vanilla game when the body gives the stash coordinate.
