A very useful tool for Generals & ZH AI makers, because you can now design AI base in World Builder, and know the equivalent positions to use inside AIData.ini
Position Converter
Is a very useful tool for C&C: Generals (ccg) & Zero Hour (ZH) modders, and more specifically, AI makers, because you can now design all of the AI base in World Builder (WB) , and work out the equivalent positions of WB positions which will be used inside AIData.ini (Data\INI\Default\).
Using this tool, AI base making has never been any much easier..
How to use the tool:
So you startup by making the final look of the AI base in WB, after this you open the tool and AIData.ini, then you copy-paste the X-Y position of that faction Command Center (CC) to the tool in the first Text Box
![AIData CC position to tool Copy AIData.ini CC position and paste it to the tool]()
now you copy-paste the X-Y position of that faction Command Center (CC) from World Builder (WB) to the tool in the second Text Box
![WB CC position to the tool WB CC position to the tool]()
then you copy-paste the X-Y position of the Structure, which you want to know its positions, from World Builder (WB) to the tool in the third Text Box
![Strct WB position to tool Structure WB position to tool]()
and now hit the button "Calculate the Desired Building Position for AIData.ini", and the program will show you the desired building equivalent position in a Red Label in the bottom of the program window, which you can copy to clipboard by clicking the "Copy to Clipboard" button underneath, and paste it for use inside AIData.ini file
![Strct pos from tool to AIData Copy Structure position from the tool and paste it in AIData.ini]()
Now save the file and go test it out in the game ;)
NOTE: You can test your base in real game very quickly by changing the code line
InitiallyBuilt = No
to
InitiallyBuilt = Yes
for each Building for that faction inside AIData.ini
NOTE: If you put the program on the Desktop, you won't see an icon for it, and to solve this just put it inside a folder.. any folder, and make a desktop shortcut to it and problem will be solved.
requirements: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (x86 and x64)
Good Luck General :)
