Today is a very special day for the Portuguese Civ Mod: five years ago, at this same day, the first feature complete version of PCM, The Portuguese Civ Mod 1.0, was released at AoKH. So, I'm really glad to announce today a new release of PCM III!
In this patch, the special Christmas map of PCM has been finally made selectable at the default Random Maps list of the game, for both Single Player and Multiplayer modes! Don't forget to play it while it's still the season!Besides of that, a new unique unit has been added to the Portuguese civilization: The Explorer, which replaces the default Scout for the Portuguese. Once the Tactics technology is researched, besides of gaining a special attack ability, like the common scout units do, the Explorers also gain the ability of building TCs at a cheaper price and faster than villagers do! Special thanks to Achesun for making the graphics for this unit!
This patch also includes many balance changes and bugfixes for reported bugs. Among those changes, it's worth to mention that Tupi villagers no longer use the Aztec voiceset, but use a proper Tupi voiceset, provided by Thermoh, from the AoE2: The American Wold mod, and a Trade Workshop technology that makes Castle Age Support Units become stronger (Diplomats) has been added.
