Feedback (may involve spoiler):

This 'techdemo' is clearly not meant to be played for casual players, but much rather for people that are highly more advanced in their skills in this game, for the difficulty increased way too quick, way too fast.

Visualwise, it was pleasent, except for the last few tests, in wich the level design started to become very distracting and confusing, wich again, will make casual players get stuck pretty quickly.

Overall, it took me about 10 minutes to complete the 'techdemo' and I am quite satisfied so far, despite the bugs and the pink-illuminated textures. (Yes, just pink. Not some missing texture. Just pink.) And the ending was very unexpected:
And now my personal ratings ...

Effort:
10/10

Visually:
7.5/10

Difficulty:
Hard

Tests:
the last two were a pain in the ***, most likely due to the lack of playtesting.

Music:
8.75/10

Personally:
2.125/10

Y'know, it's actually really good from an early demo standpoint. One thing I'd like to know is if it would be possible/allowed to make custom levels in Hammer, as I really just want to mess around with the new items and engine a bit on my own. Thanks for all your hard work making this! :D

The tools we used are literally the cause of why the maps looks broken with pink stuff ( which are the cubemaps btw ) and i do know that you'd like but i cant... Tho once i'll get the remaster of this out, then perhaps this will likely a choice

Alright, I mean, if I was patient enough to wait for this demo, I'd definitely be able to wait for that! :D

Feel free to take your time! I understand making games takes time, as I've tried my hand at it. So I'll understand. :)

Glad you enjoyed anyway it was broken to **** :/. Glad you can be patient, indeed it takes time to come up with something unique these days. Im working on a Spin-Off of this right now, because what i released really wasnt what i wanted you guys to see, but oh well i cant blame anything nor care about it anymore... Thats why im just going to make a Mappack Spin-Off of this TechDemo in Portal and we'll see how it goes and who knows if it'll connect to PLH's Story ?

Hey, Crikey here. Working on a full video review of this, playing it while talking to Greeny. Overall had a fun time with it, probably because I used cheats but I did and will give it fair judgement and play through for my video review. As for right now, I believe that the PLH Tech Demo was a great experience and personally knowing the Cloud 6 Staff, I can say that some of the members worked their a$%^s off to get us, the players entertainment for no cost at all and for them to make no profit.
As for the gameplay experience, besides minor visual glitches that weren't fixed, that only persists for 2 minutes of gameplay, (thanks crappy source engine) but the rest is on point with presentation so here's my TL:DR review of PLH

Gameplay: 10/10 Gives all off the perks of portal plus new puzzle and gameplay mechanics, with amazing movement and not movement bugs nor glitches.

Visuals: 4/10
This was a rough one to decide, Although the visuals top most of HL2's and Portal 1 and 2's, some sections weren't the best looking and I as a programmer and mapper myself recognized some of the faults in the visuals. But knowing the devs well, I can cut them some slack as this was a fallen apart project for a WHILE.

Creativity: 8/10
Literally no lack of creativity on this mod. Next Section.

Mod Sentence: Absynthe is broken, but good mod.

So, im working on a Mappack for Portal, some of its design will be from PLH and i kinda plan to use few mechanics back, just not hardcoded this time, but take this as a somekind of Spin-Off of this Broken TechDemo. Again PLH isnt dead, more like it's paused until i resume it with more ideas than ever.

Yes he will be making textures for the new Mappack !
Direct quote from him - "In the sense that i'll be making more textures, yes, but it probably won't have the same style established here" ~ ƒlechette

how long is this "demo" please? For 700mb i think it's the biggest mod out there so far, that would be nice.

why does it say i need SDK Base 2013 MULTIPLAYER? Is those some sort of co-op map or what? Sorry, but nothing useful comes out of endless lines of description here.
