First demo released, packaged and ready to play, simply use RUN.BAT to properly run.
This is a simple demo of whats currently done. Several maps included are not connected and barely worked on, except for establishing starting points and basic design.
There are two nearly complete maps, and three incomplete maps that are accessible through normal game play. The third can only be reached by cheating to get all keys.
The game runs on EDuke32, but you need to use RUN.BAT to play the game.
There are three weapons so far, wrench, concussion pistol and a blaster.
You gain credits and experience for defeating enemies, which are currently floating SECDroids and beetles that dwell in ducts and caverns.
Theres two stores in the second map where you can obtain the blaster and rebreather(replacement for scuba gear)
Alot is left coding wise for handling conversation and NPC interactions, but this demo should give you a general taste of the game and where its going. Shooting NPCs that are innocent will also result in negative effects...
The vandalism code is mostly working, but enemy fire currently counts as yours, so protect those cars and forklifts! Not all things are protected, some crates aren't owned, and in areas where it seems that things are abandon after a disaster, those things are free to explode...
Some maps are subject to change in future development...
WASD and Arrows are defined, arrows for classic turning.
X, and RMB for attack
E, and Enter for interactions with doors and purchasable items.
Space for jump
Z for duck
C for quick wrench attack.
You can setup the controls how you like.
DO NOT CHANGE RENDER MODE FROM SOFTWARE!
It will cause problems if you use any render except the default SOFTWARE render, Polymer and Polymost will cause problems with various objects due to how they are setup. These problems will never be resolved so this game will only work with the old-school 8bit renderer.
It faster anyway.
