Description

The NTCore 2.0 executable is a modified version of the Soulstorm.exe. The Ntcore version allocates extra ram to your Dawn of War - Soulstorm game to make the game run smoother and prevent crashes. If you experience crashes mid game, the Ntcore executable will completely remove mid game crashes from happening. Finally NTCore 2.0 will allow everyone to play all their factions in multiplayer if any was disabled from the last NTCore. SO GET THIS UPDATE OR BE SORRY!!!

Nn... I'd imagine not. It could work. But why?

I think because not all people have the steam version ? Unless I missed something, it seems a valid reason !

Well, me and my friends in fact bought the steam version of the game. But then we realised the Steam version was TOO MUCH bugged so we stopped playing at Steam version.

Thank you very much!!
A Question: How do you usually play Ultimate Apocalypse, when you play online? Do you use the steam version with the steam servers? or do you use the "Community Patch" aka SSCP to play on their custum server?
Or do you play with the retail (CD) version via LAN and a "Virtual LAN Service" like hamachi?

Can this work with 32-bit? I will get 64-bit sometime this year, but does it work on 32-bit operating systems?

It should work in 32bit, it'll allow you to play with people using it, but that's self-defeating the purpose of it, the NTCORE is mean't to make your game from 32bit to 64bit, and pushing it to 64bit while on 32bit won't grant you any performance improvements other than allowing you to play with people using it.

I have a question. For some reason I don't have access to the Imperial Guard in multiplayer but I have access to the Space Marines and other original factions. Does anyone know why this might be?

Dow has a built in safety mechanism that prevents players that do not own a specific Dow game "in your case Winter assault most likely" to not use the races/ armies introduced in said game.

E.G. Regular Dow will grant access to Eldar, space marines, Orks and chaos.
Winter assault adds the Imperial guard
Dark crusade adds Tau, And Necrons
And soulstorm adding Sisters of battle, and Dark Eldar.

It appears this download is infected with a virus. Would it be possible for you guys to look into this? This mod is one of my favorite mods, and I would really like to get it working properly again...

So Once again the clueless Conscript approaches the mighty tech priests and asks:

Once the file is downloaded where do I put it? Also does the FreeUI_0.85.rar also supposed to go into the same location?

Duhh.. because some antivirus programs are retarded and think .exe files are potential virus's.. I disable all antivirus stuff and always clean my PC manually. :P

So, my Anti-virus program freaked out, and said that this program contained a trojan. I think it was called a "trojan:Win32/Spursint.A" It seems that other people have had similar problems. Do you know anything about that?

I'm also getting the Trojan: Win32/Spursint.A virus alert. I'm using Windows Defender, and it's not even letting me ignore the warning, it flat out refuses to even download the file xD

Either it's a false positive, or you're taking another file from somewhere else. Here's the VirusTotal report on the download Virustotal.com

Virus detected. Microsoft Security Essentials. Tried on multiple computers. File gets auto-deleted. Need to disable Microsoft Security Essentials to prevent auto-delete of file. Not that risk tolerant.

Just outta curiosity, what is the name of the "virus" MSE detects on a LAA Steam Soulstorm executable?
VirusTotal reports it perfectly clean, and that's 56 different AV scanners: Virustotal.com

Laptop specs/model #?
If your laptop has 2GB ram (or even 3GB, we've got to account for memory used by the OS and such), this download is pointless for you. All it does is allowing Soulstorm to address more than 2GB of memory.

huh so this is basically a Large Adress aware for DoW? I was wondering if there was one like for Sins, since well this mod as fun as it is, gets so sluggish and every now and then does crash when so much is goin on at once.

It is exactly that. An LAA Soulstorm executable. Personally I'm not a fan of distributing a fixed version, since it'll get outdated as more updates for the game come out, but it sure is easier than explaining hundreds of people how to make their Soulstorm LAA themselves.

So i downloaded NTCore 2.0 from moddb and it gave me a Trojan virus..Trojan: Win32/Spursint.A!cl to be exact. Now i know you said that you don't ship viruses and how your system says its all clean and that it must be coming from somewhere else "winky face" etc etc but im confused as to why my windows defender has it popping up mixed with NTCore 2.0? Please give me a answer instead of some BS response that you just copy and paste to everyone's questions about having the same problem.
