This is the latest Battle AI by Condottiere SOG complete with formations.
The AI is very responsive to the demands of battle and the addition of formations increases unit flexibility. The AI is very aggressive and tries its best to outmaneuver your army. it will use as much of the battlefield as it can to get at you and defeat you. I have lost some very advantageous battles to this AI on Medium battle-maps.
The AI holds reserves and properly assaults its objectives, notwithstanding its ability to use it weaponry properly and devote most of its energy applying maximum firepower on targets of opportunity and elite units to weaken the Enemy’s resolve.
It is interesting to be an allied army and watch your allies start battles with the Enemy, for that is when the AI shows how it even responds to its own inclinations, which is very fun to watch.
This mod is very near perfection. One feature that has come along nicely is pike battles and I have some .rpy files for you.
