I decided, that I share with you my latest MeatBot update. Enjoy it.
If you have no clue what "MeatBot" is, then lemme tell you. MeatBot is the BEST bot mod
for CoD2. Now normally, the bots are as dumb as a doorpost, but in this mod it will turn
those lame AI into mean, lean, fighting machines! Not only will they shoot at you, they
move around the map just as a regular player would, they jump over obstacles, climb things,
throw grenades, and they'll even sit and wait for you in an ambush.
Does this mod replace sounds?

similar question here (at the risk of sounding dumb!)... is this a sound addon or does it replace the mod completely? I ask because I've tried installing both ways & on one hand it doesn't recognise this mod if I install it alone and it crashes when I install it with the older version in place. Excellent work on meatbot by the way, I'd just love to have the sounds

I dont get this, i'd extract it and i can't add bots in console, did al the stuff as it's writed into "read me"... I't seems like in your posted download file there is no mod for bots only maps. O.o
The person was asking because the name of the mod is "sound final". It's a legitimate question. Why is it called "sound final"?

this sounds like your folder permissions need changing. right click the call of duty folder (the folder containing your game exe file), select 'properties', click the tab at the top labeled 'security' and you should see an 'edit' button and set permissions in the field below. I had this issue too at first.
hey men why they always get stuck, and they just keep firing at each other and they can't die?? and other thing when the server ends the game just locks what the hell happen?? your mods are awesome but always have a big bugs : / but especially when they're stuck with each other of them team mates
i love when they get stuck...i can blow em up with one grenade, i dont like the part when i cant shoot the enemy sometimes..i just change position and i can kill again ...

why has this been marked as spam? it seems a genuine enough query and the installation instuctions aren't exactly very clear ... as asked before, is this an ADD-ON or a REPLACEMENT mod for the previous version & do any old files need keeping/deleting? more info please as this looks great but out of reach

ok, I only asked recently so can't expect any answer from anyone quickly I know, but I really want to get this mod to work and nothing seems clear. Also the command line tells you to run 'mbotsoundfinal.cfg' and after unzipping the file to check contents there is no such .cfg file - is this why it doesn't work for me?
finally got it working by keeping v.0.92 in the main folder as well, some improvements (ie. bots go prone & crouch etc. & appear more like real players) but reverted back to v.0.92 because it lost any realism with the 'all weapons available' and American accents when playing as Brits - still a 10/10 from me though, you've put a lot of work in here
Used drag and drop .iwd file into the main cod 2 file, when starting up own server, map loads and then game crashes....
don't put it in the 'main' folder & don't just extract the IWD, the complete folder called 'mbotsoundfinal' (after unzipping) needs placing in C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2 (or your equivalent), make a shortcut of your multiplayer exe, right click on the new shortcut & click 'properties' and paste the command '+set fs_game mbotsoundfinal +exec mbotsoundfinal.cfg' (without quotes) after the text, make sure there's a space before the first +

First of all i would like to thank you for great mods you made,
2nd Id like to ask for your help:
Me and my girl friend are playing cod2 sometimes, she needs some preparations before she goes online. I had an idea to train vs bots. The problem is, we would like to play together vs both - I can start a host game but for 1 human player online. Please could you help me? Is there a way I can host a local game or an online server so another human players can join me and play vs both with me?
I have tried both Meatbot and Humans vs Bots mod, both seem to work for a hosting player only :(
