Description

This is the Master Edition compatible with the Complete 2009 mod. I figured some people would want it. Also, in my other download file for the vanilla Master Edition, the readme says that it is compatible with complete, it is not, period. It has been reported that the realistic weapons add-on for complete may cause a game crash if you try to use it with Complete and this mod, so if you wish to use this mod, please don't install that add-on.

As much as some people like to talk crap about Complete, it did more for the franchise than ANY other mod. (full package i mean)

- "Oh, yadda yadda, AMK, yadda yadda"

Any...other...mod...

It was the gateway for a fairly sizable portion of the userbase.

Heck, i myself had the three games for years on my backlog (which still looks miserably large...*sigh*), but it wasn't until the Kotaku and Rock.Paper.Shotgun blog articles in 2009 about Complete that i decided it was time to try something "new".
It was a case of hook, line, and sinker for me, as the Stalker games became my favorite franchise, and Complete was what made me give the games the attention they deserved.

...Which also means that...yeah, i made the classic mistake of letting Complete be my first contact with the game...

Either way, its always good to see Complete getting some love, even tough nowadays, i would favor the Starter Pack with a few other addons added to it (HTO included).

I wish Artist Pavel would muster the will to update and improve his mods...

Best feedback I've seen on this whole mod page.

Complete was my first experience with the game as well, then the 2nd too, 3rd was finally just vanilla, then a bit of Oblivion Lost (which was just....too much), and now complete again with my own mod finally. Completes style is very enriching and more atmospheric than anything else. It is by far the best of the best in terms of the work put into it. We have yet to see the results of Lost Alpha, which is alarming after SIX YEARS.

But keep in touch and let me know what you think of this in complete.

Chiming in here for Complete as well. While my first couple of playthroughs were vanilla, Complete is akin, I'd say, to the unofficial community patches that always end up being released for Bethesda games.

Yes, it makes things subjectively easier, but you know what? It's the one single mod I've played for Shadow of Chernobyl that didn't seem to add a bunch of buggy behavior of its own. OBSE, LURK, AMK, whatever - they all add content, and that's wonderful, but they also make the game wig out in ways that completely kills immersion. At least the bugs remaining in Complete can be laid at the feet of GSC Game World and the awful state of the vanilla game.

About the only other tweaks I've ever wished for are more realistic gun damage (available as an add-on for Complete), strategic trading (you've just taken care of that) and an overhaul of the seemingly machine-translated English dialogue (which maybe I'll do myself someday).

Hello ;)

It's been a long time since I've played thru Shadow of Chernobyl so I decided to give it another go.

I installed the game, patched to v0.6 and used the patch for NO CD and ran the game- works fine. After that, Stalker Complete 1.4.4- game works fine. Tho if I install this Master Edition game always crashes after loading into the game. I tried editing the file as instructed in the Readme file, but the line that should be changed seems to be set properly? Also, im using a software called DXtory for monitoring my FPS and recording- it works fine, but after installing Master Edition it stops showing my FPS/on screen info is not even shown anymore. Something is not working as it should.

Any suggestions?

I have only tested this mod with complete as is with NOTHING. ELSE. You are definitely messing something up with whatever else you're trying to run with the game. Sorry

Sadly I'm getting it too.

Installed the mods with SSM, enabled Complete and it runs fine. Enabled This Mod and gave it priority, and it crashes.

See my reply to HellGhost on the front page.
Other than what I said on there I significantly doubt that this version of my mod does not work if it has been downloaded more than 1000 times and only a few people have complained.

The source of your problem could be anything, I wish I could help but I simply don't have the programming background.

Same here.. Downloaded game from steam, installed Stalker Complete and then installed this and edited the file.. Crashing.

edit: damn, savegames are lost, can't get them back running.. Installing this mod made me lose ~50 hours of gameplay :@

I think the problem with this mod that people are having with Complete is that maybe it has something to do with the Realistic Weapons ADD-On for Complete. I know I have that installed with Complete and maybe it might be the cause of the crashes because the Realistic weapons add-on replaces over 140 files when you install it to Complete while this mod only replaces a little over 40.....It could be conflicts with the Realistic weapon add-on.

I have this same problem because I just started a new game with Complete installed and with the Realistic weapons Add-on. No problems. The moment I add in this? Everything goes to ****.

You are probably absolutely correct, I never thought of this before. I always forget that the weapons add-on exists for complete.

This mod isn't working at all when I install it into complete, am I supposed to install this mod before complete? After complete? Then what if I add in the realistic weapons add on to complete? You blame us for your mod not being very compatible?

Halycyon do you have to be really into the story for the f2000 to spawn in barkeep's inventory? Idk what to do cause Im at the part where you got to go disable the brainschorcher and I try to load saves to reset the inventory but there is no f2000. Do you know any solution?

Sorry to reply so late. All items in my mod only have certain chances of being available. Most mods out there that I've used before will have all trader items set to a value of 100%, which means that they are always in stock. I set this mod up so that that is not the case. Most items will show up but some won't, the probability is usually between 60 - 70%. I will be changing this system in my new project Hal's Mod though.
