I can't seem to play for more than 2 or 3 minutes without a minidump error, using the Rec. graphics settings, and even tried lowering my resolution to 1024-768, I'll try windowed now... Could 'CrossfireX'(similar to NVidia's SLI) be the issue?
Still crashes, um, I'll try it without CFX, if it STILL crashes, I'll go for a redownload, possibly corrupted dl...

I have not had personal experience with CFX or SLI but I have come across a comment ... "On multiple GPU computers, turning off SLI will improve Sins performance."
Thanks for the link, yeah a lot of programs are like that, despite popular belief. Anyway, disabling it made it run slightly smoother, but still the minidump. I'll scour the link's info, and try anything recommended there.
Going for a redownload, even lowest settings causes it to crash, so I'm thinking it's not running out of ram at all, since I've got 16 and it can only use 2...
-edit- Actually, my friend set up a profile for it in CCC to give the gfx a huge boost, so I deleted that, let me try it again.
Redownload, and the profile thing didn't work, I don't know.
Oddly enough, it was just the game I was playing, started a new one, same setup, half hour in and no crash.
Excellent mod, by the way. The new races fit right in, without a hitch.

Those effect settings seem to let you go much higher than before. I thought they used to be lower. good thing you fixed the random minidumps, I would get pretty far in a game and have it randomly crash. also, did you get a chance to fix the galaxy files differing from host error on multiplayer?
There a couple of problems ...minor ones I think ... after going through the mod with a fine tooth comb. The problem which definitely caused the mini-dump was the use of a TEC Titan ability by the TA ... the developers have made that ability exclusive to the TEC's, go figure.
I found no problems with the GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenarioDef. Keep me posted if the multiplayer problem continues

I downloaded this mod and enabled it in steam and cant seem to choose any new races even though rebellion says it is enabled. Am I missing something on getting this to work?
You have the mod buried one folder too deep ... this happens because of how unzipping programs work these days, they can create a folder that is the same name as the archive and unzipp everything into it. The mod folder is inside that folder. That's the one you want.

The Skylark series by EE Doc Smith (Norlamin race) is one of my favorites
I'm really eager to read this book,but it's so hard to find the link to this book(in china),do you know where to find this type of books?(English or Chinese is not important).As for other race,do you have any protype for them,or they are just brust out of your mind?:-)

The TA were based broadly on BSG
The Replicators were based around the ability to replicate there ships ... a machine race seemed appropriate
I think the real book is hard to be sent from foreign country.Maybe the digital version is more suitable. By the way, what's the full name of BSG? And I really wonder you work all those realise yourself or you are just the speaker of a group.I thought a big mod must be made by a dozen of people like the Skyrim.

That is reall unbelieve. You must have mastered the 3DMAX and the data system of SSE.I have tried to make a simple like just a new ship, but it is seemed that SSE doesn't allowed a moudle input from outside......And the list limit of Titan is just TWO.Though I have rigested the third Titan......it still crash.

So I'm trying to play the maelstrom mod R5 for rebellion and I set it up right but as soon as I press apply for the mod to activate it goes to a loading screen and never gets off it. Can someone help me.

how the hell do i install with desura? all it does is ask for an application to open it with....
desura is not maintained by me ... I think it tries to install diplomacy.

Hi,
I'm new to this mod. I have a windows7 fully updated windows and Ram 8 GB graphic memory 900 mb 260 gtx NVidia card. I have all the sins installed and the rebellion is installed with steam and it is 1.1 latest one. I have downloaded the new maelstrom mod R5 and unzip with 7zip and then copy paste the Maelstrom Rebellion R5 to Mods-Rebellion v1.1 mean inside the Mods-Rebellion v1.1 folder. I put all the game settings to default and only the video settings is 1440 by 900. I enabled the mod and restart the game played with replicater clan and after one hour it crashed saying error occurred and mini dump file saved. After this I have tryied many times by loading the resent save file but no good at the same time come it is crashing. Please help me to run the game. It is awesome game now. Thanks to you guys it is great to play it. Please help
