This is a house mod that adds a home placed on the shore of Lake Rumare.
Lakeview is a small home located on the shore of Lake Rumare, southwest of the Imperial City. It's furnished with a warm bed, places to sit by a cozy fire, and plenty of safe places to store your stuff in an organized manner.
Although it's free, the front door is locked. You'll need to go to the basement (entrance around back) and get the key from the witch who lives down there. She's quite tough and has a very bad attitude.
There's also a small campsite by the big rock a few paces east southeast from the house.
Nothing fancy, no uber items, just a nice place to come home to.
Installation
As always, it's a good idea to make a save of your game before installing any mod.
Once you've unziped the Lakeview files and started Oblivion, go to the Data Files menu and check "Lakeview2.esp".
Please read the Readme file for more details.
Enjoy!
Change Log:
Rev 2.1 - enhances Lakeview's interior. A three-position adjustable center lamp has been added to the chandelier. Just reach up to adjust it. Combined with the two-position adjustable outer lamps (panel by the door), the interior lighting can be adjusted to suit just about everyone's taste.
The east fireplace can now be lit for those really cold days. Just click on it. Also, that fireplace has been decorated with a static version of the beautiful elven shield--in theme with the swords above the west fireplace.
Rev 2.0 - contained no bug fixes although all remaining links to other parts of Oblivion were removed, making Lakeview a "clean" mod, more robust, and less likely to conflict with other mods. Rev. 2.0 did include many small changes to enhance the sense of place and believability of Lakeview.
Rev 1.1 added the mailbox and fixed a problem with the desk. This made all containers on the main floor of Lakeview and the barrel by the campsite safe for long term storage (each has a unique name and is set to not respawn).
