Description

Every one that bought Gears of War 4 for offline activation, like I bought: The game requires an internet connection until the main menu. I bought Gears of War 4 at Antidenuvo.com for 3.40 dollars. There are even cheaper sellers. After that point, the internet connection must be disabled to not get kicked. So I created a batch-file tool that runs the game and disables the internet connection after a one minute. When the game is closed, the batch-file enables back the internet connection and closes itself.

Instructions:

1) Extract the files "START PROGRAM.bat" and "Gears of War 4.lnk" from the archive, to any folder.

2) Edit the file "START PROGRAM.bat":

1. Change the ADDRESS in the line:
start "Gears of War 4" /high "ADDRESS\Gears of War 4.lnk"
to the right location where the files were extracted from the archive.
For example: If the files were extracted to the Desktop, the line will be changed to:
start "Gears of War 4" /high "C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\Gears of War 4.lnk"
* USERNAME is your username in the Windows.

2. Change the name in the line:
netsh interface set interface name="Ethernet" admin=disabled
and in the line:
netsh interface set interface name="Ethernet" admin=enabled
to your connection's name.
In my case the connection name is "Ethernet".
To check the connection's name: Go to Network and Sharing Center.
The name may be also "Local Area Connection" or "Wi-Fi" or another name.

The tool must be runned as administrator.
