IMPORTANT: THE SKIN CHANGER MIGHT NOT WORK PROPERLY FOR SOME HEROES, IF THIS HAPPENS JUST AVOID USING THAT SKIN UNTIL WE FIX IT. THIS IS AN EARLY RELEASE AND WE HOPE TO FINISH IT BY CHRISTMAS.
Installation:
Video Installation Tutorial :
Copy the side folder and paste it to C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\data\_lvl_pc
and replace the side folder and its content( make a backup of that side folder before replace it).
For the 1st person copckits go to the same directory and replace the fpm folder.
"custom_gc1" and "user_script9" go in "GameData\data\_lvl_pc" (no sub-folder)

You need the Unofficial 1.3 Patch to use the Skin Changer.

If skin changer commands don't show up on the fake console, try to select an empty line after "Current map",the skin changers commands should show up at the end of the fake console.

Harrisonfog,Bobas Fett Flamethrower model is missing, also hud icons of flamethrower and bobas rifle is missing in game.
But still this mod is a great job! Keep it up!
The Flamethrower model is missing intentially so it looks like its coming from his wrist

Everything else works fine, except the skin changer options don't appear in the fake console. I selected an empty line in the fake console as previously mentioned but that didn't work.

Do you plan to add any droid skins for the skin changer in future updates? Such as different colored B1 battle droids.
Minor bug: If you change the clones to Phase 2 on Geonosis, the 501st clone sharpshooter has a black body with missing textures. The visor is also missing from its helmet.
Hi Harrison, again it's a very nice work thank you and the team. I tried it yesterday and I didn't noticed any breaking bugs in the system for the moment.
One minor tweak to do is that the DL-44 blaster has its scope on the

Great Job Guys! Pretty much perfect the only 2 problems I can see is the kama clipping really bad on the republic sniper unit and Snow Rebel Soldier(First Stock Class) has a small hole in the texture in 3rd person.
Umm, i downloaded this mod and i have the 1.3 patch and skin changer but whenever i clicked on a hero skin it would instantly crash the game. I had no other mods except this. Also Phase 2 legion skins would only work for the heavy.
I am also having this problem, is there any fix?

I've just had the same problem in 2023, trying to change the look of the Rebels on the stock Naboo Theed map, after installing the 1.3 Patch 129 version. I then tried to download the v1.3-v1.5 Extension, in case that would help - but that only prevented the game from opening up at all! I've re-installed the 1.3 patch. Despite checking download instructions, I can't work out why the skin changer from Fake Console crashes to desktop. I'm working from a safemode version of the original BFII disk.
Can anyone please advise? Thanks.
Thanks for the mod! However, enemies don't load on campaign mode. Is there a fix for this? They load without the side mod, but they don't when I use the side mod.
Are you sure your not missing any local files
I don't think so, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. All I know is that when I use the regular side mods, the enemies spawn, but when I use the improved sides mod, they don't.
Which enemies dont spawn? Do u have all the lvl files installed in yoir side folder cis all rep imp
Felucia enemies (arakyd?) in the campaign mode, but I've had issues with other enemies as well. The new side folder has all, allshell, cis, cisshell, clones-mdl, clones-tex, clones tex-2, imp, impshell, rep, repshell, and tur.
The original side folder has the above-mentioned LVL files except the clones files. In addition, it contains the following files: des, ewk, gam, gar, geo, gun, jed, snw, tur, and wok.
Moddb.com install these with improved sides or place in the OG local files you listed above (Apart from TUR) its more recommended to install the local sides with the main sides too

Minor glitches: When you switch to some of the skins the game crashes. For example, when you trigger Human soldier for the Rebellion the game consistently crashes for me.

i can't get the skin changer to work for troopers (except turning rebels into aliens), just works for heroes, any idea why this could be?
