Version 2.9.2, for more information, check the file description.
v 2.9.2
- The focus "War With Austria" is now bypassed, if Austria doesn't exist, and its territory is owned by Hungary.
- The focus "Restore The Monarchy" no longer triggers the German intervention event, if Austria doesn't exist (which means Hungary already conquered them).
- Infrastructure in Beregszász (Berehove) has been raised to 6.
- Victory points in Hungary have been adjusted (Pécs is now 3, and so is Debrecen).
- Leader portraits have been beautified, and Hungarian localisation has been corrected at many places (both thanks to Robin from Paradox Hungary).
- A temporary fix has been issued for the disappearing Austrian divisions: Austria-Hungary now gets all of the starting Austrian troops upon formation. This effect will be removed, once Paradox fixes the disappearing divisions bug.
v 2.9.2
- Magyarország győzelmi pontjai módosultak (most már Pécs és Debrecen is 3-at érnek).
AutoComplete
3. mégegyszer megnyomod a "0"-t
Próbáld meg újratelepíteni a játékot meg a modot. Ha azután sem működik, akkor marad a remény, hogy a Paradox mihamarabb kijavítja a bugot.
These are my opinions. These are just ideas I had on re-balancing. You don't have to read this, borrow any ideas, or do anything to this comment unless you want to. These are just a few thoughts on the poll and the mod in general.
I've seen the poll of yours. The idea is nice. The fact that you set out for realism and end up with things that seems more like fantasy. I would hate my project ending up like that. Honestly, your mode has taught me a lot of Hungary and game me the desire to learn more about their History.
Most of your options in re-balancing explained in the poll is very interesting. I was thinking, changing the multi-national national spirit from only lowering national unity to do something comparable to the Russian national spirit after they do the Great Purge. Austria-Hungary struggled with a national identity because they were a conglomeration of many other ethnicity's. Their army struggled because they had divisions of one language led by a general of another language. If the national spirit both, hurt their division recovery and national unity, it would reflect a little bit better with their problems at that time. (If I'm wrong about this, sorry)
If I am to suspend the disbelief that Austria-Hungary could recombine after WW 1 and regain territory that they lost without sparking another world war, then the idea that they are unable to core the new territories is a bit to hard to accept. I like the idea that Austria-Hungary is able to rebuild up to their former glory and show the world that they are not to be messed with. If you want some balancing, then maybe have it so that after a certain time has passed after annexing it, an event fires that allows you to core it. Or, if you had to take it by force, you are unable to get a core, but if you get it back peacefully, you are able to core it.
Sorry for the long comment, just a few ideas a had with balancing.
I'm glad you're learning something about Hungarian history, that is one of the many things I would like to accomplish with this mod.
I like the idea, that multinationality causes military problems, and yes, you are right, the monarchy had its problems with communication (though after the Compromise of 1867, I think Hungary had its own army, with a mostly Hungarian leadership).
I'll most likely introduce a mini-branch in the Austria-Hungary part of the focus tree, that resolves the modifier, either by forcefully integrating and supperssing other nationalities, or by compromising with them, and elevating them to an equal position with the primary nationalities (like Austria did with Hungary), and perhaps turning into a federation.
This ties in nicely with your next point, the cores. I don't intend to fully rob Austria-Hungary of getting cores on their former territory, but initially, it just doesn't seem realistic, that they suddenly have cores all over the place. Some nationalities were not really fond of the monarchy in the first place, I don't think they would be thrilled to rejoin it after it suddenly reappears.
However, through the mini-branch I mentioned, I think it should be possible to get at least part of the cores back, and the common revisionist branch will also have opportunities for acquiring cores on former Hungarian lands (which will be available regardless of whether you are Hungary, or Austria-Hungary).
