This is the latest prototype before the change of the game to Road to Hollow Hills.
This iteration of Hollow Hills v 0.81b it does contain three maps, and new gameplay system, AI, inventory, menu, hud... The idea was to implement something similar to classic adventure games at this stage.
Update 0.81b: Added difficulty settings ingame, new AI for enemies, a couple of new events, and many fixes.

Updated to 0.81a, fixing a couple of minor bugs.
Thank you for the testers! Working on the next patch to continue to add camera control for thirdperson non-fixed camera, and first person mode!
I wanted to like this, I really did. I love Silent Hill. Technically this is well made, in terms of asset quality and level design. But it's too dark to navigate the environments even at full gamma. There were times when I was running continously at a wall and didn't know it. I get that dark = scary but too much dark can also = frustrating, and frustrating does not = scary.
The camera does not follow the player even a little bit so there were times when my guy was entirely offscreen, and worst of all it's possible to softlock the game due to low health; When I arrived at the giant heart thingie, I was at "caution", not enough health to survive fighting both it and the floor meat.
But even worse than that, when I went back into the tunnels in search of another tonic and didn't find any, when I returned to the heart chamber, it autosaved over my game. With less health! Putting me in an even worse position. I would suggest either giving the player a tonic each time he respawns, putting tonics hidden in boss areas, or just starting the player at full or somewhat replenished health after each death.
Hi Aquareon. Many thanks for your suggestions and honest review. As is a beta/alpha, that's the moment to fix and tweak to make it as fun as possible!
I will upload in a couple of days a new version with several fixes, and tweaks (plus a couple of surprises, nothing mayor though) I might add a difficult selector too (for now, is like Hard mode) I know the actual beta kicks immediately, but as is a short demo, I need to test the combat system as soon as possible to receive invaluable feedback, as you made yourself. Again, thank you very much.
Updated to 0.81b.
Many issues fixes, and several improvements across all the three levels. Now is possible to tweak the difficulty ingame, have activate some hints, even deactivate auto-aim in a few new options in the settings pannel and more. Take a look if you already played the previous 0.81a.
Happy weekend!
Hello! Just letting you know, There's a bug in the settings menu. Anything you change won't save at all. like for example, The graphics settings. I want to put them all on ultra and I click save and accept. when I try to back out, it keeps popping a message "You have unsaved changes" I don't know how to get around it.
Edit: Well, i did change into first/third person view and that saved and work. But only thing i don't see that works is changing the graphics settings.
Hi! Many thanks for the report! I will look after that annoying bug!
Thaks for your game ! I love Silent Hill and my yt channel just start with SH 1 , SH 2 ! Love ! Thanks !
Many thanks! Indeed we love Ilent Hill. But not only what it is, but what it does represent to us. To me, very special nights playing with my sister in our old PSX. So this game is a lover letter to that moment. A little rought at the moment, but I think is going better and better. Next version is very close! New amazing music, and more! Thank you for playing!
