If it is not a mod folder, will game files be replaced and altered the original RomeTW BI ver1.6? Confusion and hesitance to try? why not have a mod folder like other mods? I have 3-4 other mods installed; and I never have to worry about altering original game files.
Yes, it will alter your files. Trust me, I know, having installed over 100 mods in my lifetime and attempting to make one.
Just backup your Rome-Total War folder (or whatever folder your Rome-Total War files are in) and, when you are done with the mod, you can delete the modified folder and put the backup folder back.
