Download link and Information on the Gang Beasts 0.0.3 Fixes and Modifications
Here is the 0.0.3 build, the key modifications and fixes in this build are:
- a fix for the ‘Trucks' stage to making Trucks ramp up to speed more slowly (and less erratically)
- a fix for the falling state (making it easier to gain momentum when swinging and making falling characters fall in less rigid postures)
- improvements to the articulation of the characters hip joints (for more immediate lateral character movement)
- improvements to the characters foot placement when walking / running
- optimised character colliders for improved game performance
- Endless mode (players start with three lives, stages cycle automatically after each stage is won)
- improvements to the character turning circle (for more immediate changes of direction)
- miscellaneous additional toys in the ‘Sandbox' stage (See-saw, Round-about, Ball, Cones)
- a subway platform with a moving escalator (currently broken), an elevator, and moving subway trains with automated doors (trains don't stop at the station currently)
- an improved throwing / pushing mechanic (more force in direction of travel), characters can now be swung around more easily
- a basic ducking move to allow players to duck under some punches and summersault from higher platforms (and to let characters jump onto and from other characters backs to other gain access to higher platforms etc.)
- limits to the grabbing duration
- improved camera movement on some stages
- additional small objects to grab and throw in the Incinerator stage
We have postponed fully implementing the stamina system (for limiting the force of successive punches after a specified number of punches have been thrown) as we need to play test it more.

There is a known issue with some systems with integrated graphics that causes this, you can normally bypass the issue by changing the game resolution and / or graphics settings.
even when i do this it still just shows a black screen
I had the same problem go into windowed mode
What do i do to go into windowed mode?
Check the box named "Windowed" on the grey launch Window

There will only be specific combinations of Graphics settings and screen resolution that work with your computer, I would suggest testing on the lowest resolution and graphics settings to see if this works.
i have tried all of these things and same happens every time and some times if i use more than one player on a map then that will also black screen i run this on my mac ios x wil there be an upcoming update to fix this problem
We are not able to recreate the issue you are describing, if you send us information about the build you are using, the GPU and OS you have, we can try to advise or contact Unity support to ask re: compatibility with you graphics card.

How do I change the resolution on my macbook air though? D:
Select a different setting in the "Screen Resolution" box at the left hand side of the grey launch Window when in the "Graphics" tab.

You can map inputs by pressing the 'Tab' key in game and using the input configuration window that is opened.

The Gang Beasts pre-alpha builds are free, we can't afford to make the full version of the game free as we need to sell the game on Steam Early Access to fund the development of the full game.
You will get my money when the game comes out :)

I downloaded it on a MAC and I can't change any of the controls, however when my friend changes the controls it works just fine with him. How can I fix this?
If you are having issues with the 0.0.3 build, you can download the 0.0.2 build and map the controls with that build (the 0.0.3 will then use the controls mapped in 0.0.2).
