A set of tweaks for the vanilla CoP engine addressing the most overlooked issues.
Feel free to report any other overlooked bugs - the patch will be updated!
- Fixed camera glitch when reloading or strafing; fixed screen jittering;
Fixed scopes infinite zooming;
Fixed skybox stretching;
Fixed SSAO Blur crash when HDAO is not Ultra;
Fixed some potential DX11 crashes; fixed DX11 isses;
Fixed behaviour of the visibility indicator after save/load;
Fixed loading screen stages;
Fixed "cannot find rank" crash;
Fixed some memory leaks, code errors etc;
Ignore processing of Thumbs.db - a junk file which causes crashes;
Tweaks to use a bit more RAM;
Player will not get damage from pseudogiant's stomp hit while jumping (like in SoC);
Expanded sound pool to prevent sound interruption;
Introduced fov, hud_fov and r__detail_radius console commands.
Optional:
Allowed config-defined sun-movement.
- Installation Instructions: Extract the contents of "main" into the Call of Pripyat's installed folder. Overwrite files when prompted. If you plan on using mods such as Atmosfear, install the contents of the "optional" folder in the same directory.
- Some fixes were taken from Open X-Ray and Lex Addon.
Can this be used with other mods? Specifically the COP Reconstructed Mod?
EDIT: Also, for the optional folder, do we drag in the folder named "config-defined sun movement" or do we go further and only drag the bin folder from the config-defined sun movement into our Call of Pripyat Directory? I made a back up of my COP Reconstructed mod game and dragged the main bin into my directory and the config defined sun movement folder. So far all seems normal, and I am able to adjust the fov from the console so at least that is working.
Thank you for this! Do we need to start a new game for the changes to work?
Fantastic stuff, OP. I wish I could rate it, but I can't because there's no option to rate files, I think?
Anyway, I love the console commands that this introduces. My only issue is that, once I use it, I can no longer use the "cut x-ray" mod that gives you options to add things like first-person death and round cursor with .diff files.
EDIT: crouched weapon bobbing would also be a nice addition to future versions.
