After some more testing, we've found that the AI works best on medium difficulty. be warned, it tends to spam (as the empire). Be sure to report any bugs if you find any!

Ok, as you guys seem to have figured out.... this particular beta does NOT work, and we will try and get the next one to work properly, so hang with us!
For reference, the way to launch a .bat file is to double click it or use a shortcut (a shortcut will be in the next release)

that does not work even ... 40 minutes of searching online not one person able to help on how to make mods work on this with steam...
swfoc MODPATH=Mods\Fear the Darkside is the proper command line for running this mod. you have been using a bat command for the standard empire at war. make a bat file and place it in the game directory and use the command line from above IN the bat file. Then you have a starting point. There is no launch code for steam. You have to manually make the mod work its not going to just work.Another issue your going ot have if this does work is the steam launcher. good luck with that

I have ran all tree versions of this game. Getting any mod to work with the steam version is a kin to chopping down the mightiest tree in the forest with a herring. The GOG version is vastly superior. To get any mod to work on steam you have to jump threw a lot of hoops
