1. (Zip) Place the bktq4sp1 folder into your Quake 4 root directory
OR: (Installer) Follow the prompts and install the mod to your Quake 4 root directory
2. Run the included 'False Dawn.bat' file from the bktq4sp1 directory or start menu - Select the appropriate resolution for your monitor
OR: Start Quake 4 and select 'False Dawn' from the mod menu OR: Create a shortcut to Quake4.exe and add the following command line: "+set fs_game bktq4sp1"
3. If not using the 'False Dawn.bat' launcher - Configure your video resolution/aspect ratio under Settings -> System
4. Select Start new mission from the main menu to begin playing5. Enjoy

Issue: Limited ATI compatibility/performance (Inherent to both idTech4 and Sikkmod)
Fix: Disable Catalyst A.I. - Further support for this issue will be addressed post release.
Issue: Not restarting Q4 upon making video changes (resolution/Anti-Aliasing) can cause a loss in performance.
Fix: After changing any system settings, restart Q4 to ensure maximum performance. Sikkmod options can be changed freely without a restart.
Issue: Sikkmod is not 100% compatible with older hardware.
Fix: Nvidia GTX+ or ATI HD5xxx+ required for full sikkmod features. If using older hardware, disable sikkmod features until visual errors are fixed.
Issue: Cubemap lighting isn't compatible with older hardware.
Fix: None :( Requires a modern GPU to render correctly (Nvidia GTX+ or ATI HD5xxx+).

The war between humanity and the Strogg has raged on in an endless stalemate for a generation. Despite a vast gulf in echnological and physical power - humanity remains unbroken.
Intelligence reports indicate that the Strogg have developed a mysterious new Super Weapon capable of annihilating the human race. It is located within a facility on a satellite world deep within Strogg controlled space. A frontal assault is out of the question, thus a single Stroggified human has been selected to infiltrate the facility, locate the weapon and destroy it.
The very survival of humanity hangs in the balance. Therefore, only one soldier is capable shouldering this burden. That soldier is you.

Sikkmod is integrated with some effects created by Sikkpin exclusively for False Dawn.
Can you also enable Quake 2 style gameplay?

Augh, I've followed the directions in the readme,and it's still not popping up in the mods section of the game's menu,Mr. Gears, could you please help me? :(
I'm having the same issue.
Edit: ahh, got it working. I downloaded the archive file and just dropped it the game folder, and it now appears in 'mods'.
I don't know about you, but I found that running False Dawn.bat didn't a) allow me to select a resolution I wanted, and b), whatever I chose wasn't accepted anyway.

Is it possible to export the integrated version of Sikkmod from False Dawn? The original Sikkmod fails to work on my machine (Arch Linux + NVIDIA) but False Dawn's work flawlessly
Started playing - much better than the original game!!!
I can not get it to download i do not know what folder i put it in. I need directions as to where the folder is so i can add it correctly.
