In Empire at War: Expanded, the traditional Empire at War tech level is traded for an era-based system that impacts different story events, factions, unit rosters and heroes are available, with the galaxy set up to recreate various conflicts within the Star Wars Legends lore. There are also new government mechanics where you can interact with other subfactions and story events in new ways, along with a planet loyalty system, giving extra income, unique units, and other bonuses at high levels, but with other negative effects if your member worlds become too unhappy with your leadership.

To play: After subscribing, make sure to let the download finish (see your Steam download manager, it'll say at the bottom of your Steam client), then launch Forces of Corruption. Once ingame, go to the Options menu, then Mods, and enable it from there.
If the game doesn't re-launch when you enable the mod ingame, or you want to just directly launch into the mod, go to the properties for Empire at War in Steam and paste the following into launch options:

We recommend using the Steam Workshop copy of the mod for Steam (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1976399102) , however to install it using this copy:
Right click the FallofTheRepublic.zip and select "extract here"
Place the mod into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Empire at War\corruption\Mods (Default)
To play the mod via Steam:
-Open Steam and go to Empire at War, right click and select Properties.
-Click Launch Options and add sweaw MODPATH=Mods\FallofTheRepublic
-Close Properties and click Play, selecting Forces of Corruption.
-To play the original game just reverse the second set of steps and remove MODPATH=Mods\FallofTheRepublic from the Launch Options.
THIS VERSION WILL NOT WORK WITH GOG OR DISK.

I've been looking forward to this
I use the 'Gold Disk' dvd version of FOC. You stated in the description that in order to use this mod, one would need to download the lite version on ModDB, but this is ModDB, so is the download listed above, the "lite version" mentioned in the description?
Mistakenly left in from the TR description, sorry. Remains to be seen if we'll be able to make a functional version for GoG or disk considering their lack of official updates.

I purchased EAW/FOC when the Gold Disk version was first released and have been reluctant to purchase the game again on Steam as I don't like having to buy the same game twice.
Still, if everything keeps going to Steam then I will probably bite the proverbial bullet and do so. Lol...
I strongly suggest it. Even when posible, making the mods compatible for GoG and Disk means giving up on some features and stability.

Hi, I am going to buy the steam version soon, but I wanted to download this mod today. When I click on the 'download now' button, I just get a white screen. How do I download it?
Roughly, what kind of system specs do I need to run the really big campaign smoothly? I'm only getting 7-8fps on the campaign map. Is there anything I can do to improve performance?
Is there a possibility to modify it to play in the campaign in multiplayer?

The tactical rebalances are gonna take some getting used to.
Examples: Roughly three minutes into a space battle: "Wait, why are my V-19s literally all dead? What is this, vanilla?"
On the ground: "Ah, a bunch of scout bikes, no problem...wait, why aren't they dying in 2.5 seconds? And what do you mean, my clones are pretty much all dead?"
Are you able to use this mod in the retail version of EAW?

I'm going to compensate for the many negative comments here.
First of all, this mod release is not complete so please stop expecting miracles, EAW is a 15 year old game and it's amazing that people still mod it even if there are bugs.
Secondly, this mod team delivered us Thrawn, seriously, whoever gives us a Thrawn story to play deserves a nobel prize.
They did not only deliver the mod but they polished it and made it into something unique that revived the old EAW binge worth, they even made a version for GOG.
So I bought the steam version just to play mods without corrupt save games, I have both GOG and steam version and I got them both on sale for less than the full price on either.
Stop complaining that the mod is not perfect, send your bugs to the mod team and THEY WILL work on it just like they've done in the past.

Due to having little time to play things in general right now I could only do some skirmishes and play around a little in the fleet builder last weekend but it is already a pretty solid experience.
You really get the vibe of the bigger scale of the Clone Wars when you can throw dozens of capital ships in and have big slugfests between them.
After playing both sides several times there are only two things I noticed as a little odd balance wise. On the side of the Confederacy, the normal Recusant seems to be a little too powerful while the normal Providence seems to be a tad underpowered. On the Republic side the Venator feels a little underwhelming as well mainly in terms of damage output.
Nonetheless already a very entertaining experience, even if the version number still has a 0 in front. ;)

I think you should add a planet that let both factions build the zellow beast . Also I think you should add ATOTs Low altitude assault transport for A.Ts and the RX assault tank/artillery . The UTAT and add some AV7s and the SPHT Super Artillery that does it for the Republic
