Here you are the reworked version of legendary Middle-Earth TW, updated by the famous and respected community from Russia - Imperial Community.
This is new Middle-Earth! You didn`t see something like this before. This mod have similar style to the famous game - Battle for Middle-Earth II. You will understand it, when you start the campaign.
Changes in the Fall of Barad-Dur mod version:
- Added full content from the original Middle-Earth TW 1.0, developed by Chamber of Recoreds.
- All units from METW available in campaign and fully working, AOR system was reworked
- Added vast amount of new units for all factions (with new quality 3d-models from my good friend VIR, and textures reworked by me)
- Added special portraits for the Elven Kingdoms faction (by me, BagaturKhan)
- Added skies, nature and water from the Roma Surrectum II mod
- Added a full special music pack from BagaturKhan (i.e. from me), tracks are from Hobbit movies and Lord of the Rings.
- Added a lot of new loadscreens from Peter Jacksons LOTR movies.
- A lot of work was made with buildings system of factions
- A lot of work was made with mod UI things (again by me)
- Added Eriador transform to Arnor and culture for this is Dunedain
- Added special religions and beliefs for factions (Morgoth shrines, Orome sacred grooves, temples of Varda and etc.)
- Fixed all bugs, which the "show_err" has found in original mod
- Added a lot of gameplay and balance changes for all factions
- New playable faction - Restored Angmar (Morghrumbahr)
- More agressive atmosphere in the main Fall of Barad-Dur campaign (War with Evil in the start!)
- Some heroes from the Middle-Earth world (Boromir, Faramir for ex)
- Other improvements in all things.

Installation is very simple. Just put METW folder to your BI folder. Then create a shortcut from Rometw-bi.exe and write in Object -mod:bi/metw -show_err. After that you can start the shortcut and have a lot of fun.

Rome Total.exe has stopped working , this happens after choosing any faction in the campaign , any of the historical battles and skirmish , always CTD with error message
its because of steam not compatible
So none of us with steam can play?
You should make a version with the movie-style models.
man..this mod broke my game...like my barbarian invasion doesnt work anymore..only the mods i THINK..so...how dus one fix and install? sins i REALLY wanna play this epic looking mod!
Hey, guys! Thanks for the mod... But the instructions to install the mod are not clear. Which exact file to where exactly should I extract? And after creating a shortcut you say, "write in object -mod:bi/metw -show_err" Which object, bro?! Where is this object?

hello, i just downloaded this mod and i thought it might be helpful for people if i gave you some comprehensive tips on the topic of installing.
this mod starts within a folder, and then within that folder there is another folder, WITHIN THAT folder is a folder named "mod folder"
this is the one you move into your BI folder within your totalwar rome folder.
then you make a new shortcut to rome barbarian invasion, then you right click this shortcut and select "properties" then here you will put in this line of text AFTER the original string within the "Object" box; -mod:bi/metw -show_err.
now this line of text should be put in with a space between it and the existing letters, it should look something like this:
(whereever your game is)Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -mod:bi/metw -show_err.
after this is all said and done, you should be able to play it!
one last thing i would like to say is a question to the devs, which unit size is the game balanced for? huge, large, medium?
