NOTE: This is an archived version of Empires Mod. Download the latest version of Empires Mod on Steam! This will install the Empires v2.30 client. You get a freegame now?
thts pretty sweet
the SDK comes free with almost any Source game is what they are saying.
The best source mod out there, but please fix the collisions!
Finally! Remember, if you don't have a source game, just download Alien Swarm for free and you can play Empires.
I'm not sure if that works at all. Technically it is not supposed to happen. I'll check if it somehow can be done.
You should add walkers :D. With machine guns and rocket launchers!
Do you still need to download the servers??????
I wish I could post a comment..but I am too lazy :(
I'm so amazingly confused it's starting to **** me off... I cannot play this game because apparently my engine is missing something but it doesn't MAKE SENSE cause everything else works! OnGameRulesCreationStringChanged: missing gamerules class "CEmpGameRules" on the client.
Try reinstalling HL2. It might fix it.
This mod looks really cool.
Would i be better off downloading the .exe from Moddb or downloading via Steam?
EDIT: Sorry, Should have read into it more; Steam version released more recently that .exe. I'll download from Steam.
Im sorry if this appears to be a stupid question, but does this mod require Half-Life 2? Or can Counter-Strike Source/Day of Defeat Source be used to run it.
Any source engine game i think so yea counter strike
Hello, I love this game.
I'm not sure about you, but I really wanted to play this game.
I tried to download it on Steam,
but all I got was a mostly intact game with only a few files that broke down,
and broke the game.
You see, the background image and start up video files wouldn't load properly,
so all I got was a error every time I started. When I replaced the pictures with other things from gamebanana but renamed them to fix the issue, I could tell I got to the main menu because I got a black screen with music... after awhile of tinkering I gave up.
I have slow internet and didn't feel like re-downloading a game that takes 2 1/2 hours
to download,
I'd rather just play the safe version that isn't broken,
I wish I got a nice cool game but all I got was a broken one.
I have high expectations as the archived version is downloading now.
Although disappointed not to get the final product,
I really want to try out this interesting game.
So overall... 7.5/10
I probably would've just gave the game a... 8.5/10 if it wasn't broken, because you know,
it's not the best game in the world, but there was effort put into it,
but since the updated version is broken,
that just ruined my experience, and my time.
I thought of just giving a 7/10, but I thought of being nice because
I haven't played the game yet, so it could be good or bad,
but from what I've seen, the game looks fun.
I look forward to playing this version by about...5 o'clock.
