NOTE: This is an archived version of Empires Mod. Download the latest version of Empires Mod on Steam! This will install the Empires v2.2 client. Any Half-Life 2 game is required. Even though Empires now runs on the Orange Box engine, you do not have to have purchased any Orange Box games to run it. This installer does not require you to have previously installed Empires.

L4D engine is the HL2 engine ya numpty 8D
so is the orange box engine it is just a upgrade. But it is not out yet.
It does have some nice features though like shorter load times and quad core support lots of people on the screen at once
