This mod is a revision and balance mod for the original campaigns of Dawn of War 2 and Chaos Rising, it adds the librarian to the original campaign, extended skilltrees for all squads and lots of new wargear.

To install, this zip file should be extracted in the root folder of your Dawn of war 2 Chaos Rising installation (possibly: Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dawn of War II\), you will be asked to merge theGameAssets folder, say yes! no original gamefiles will be changed or overwritten. Run the game using one of the .bat files, for convenience make shortcut to .bat file on desktop, always start a new campaign with this mod, do not continue an old save, otherwise important scripts can bug out, remember always to use the .bat while progressing through the campaign for same reason. if the mod works properly you will not see logo movies at startup only the campaign intro movie.
To uninstall remove all folders and files named DOW2_Ext..., and in the GameAssets\Locale folder remove DOW2_Ext.ucs

Hello! Extract the DoW2_Exterminatus files, then copy them to your Dawn of War root folder, (Steam\steamapps\common\Dawn of War 2)this will have the DOW2.exe if you're unsure. Then use the DOW2_EXT_Steam.bat file to run the game, I personally just right clicked and sent a shortcut to the desktop and run it from there.
I hope this helps, this is the process I used to install it today.
The bat file doesn't launch anything. Followed instructions - so clearly there are other issues at play here.

is it possible to use other mods with this one? like a skill point mod?
generally dow 2 mods need to be extracted, checked for conflicts and merged in a single module to be used together

Level cap still 20, Librarian didn't replace Davian Thule as dreadnought (I didn't even get him] but still getting Libririan wargear.. :|
I think you swapped back to unmodded game somewhere during the campaign, you should get the librarian very early in campaign
would it be possible to get a version where the dreadnaught and librarian arens swapped around? its just to satisfying seeing the dreadnaught crunch massive swarms of tyranids or roast them with his flamer
2nd. The mod is awesome except for the librarian. Please make a version without him
I couldn't find any .bat files on my pc, and when I tried to launch the file DOW2_Ext, it launched chaos rising. not sure if this is supposed to happen or not
the bat file is in the archive that you download so you have yourself control over where on your pc it is placed, it must be placed as instructed then it should launch chaos rising with the mod active, right now i can't say from your story if you are doing it right.

I´ve got a similar problem. The files have been correctly placed in the DoW II folder; thus why the Librarian gear appears to me too, but none of the bat. files can´t start the game. Every time I try any of the two, a cmd screen opens and closes in an instant, and nothing happens.
Any idea as to what might be the problem?
I seemed to have the same problem, but when you press the steam.bat it prompts you in steam to start chaos risng, it might want you to press it manually.
After doing this it starts as he said, but for me the intro video still plays.

i have no idea where the archive with the .bat files is.
the .bat is in the .rar that you download from here. Called DOW2_Ext_Steam.bat and/or DOW2_Ext.bat
When I launch the bat file it opens windows cmd for a split second before closing without the game coming up.
probably a block from windows security software or 3rd part security software, also run as admin
Yep. Tried that, also I have security off most the time so that shouldnt be an issue.
I'm having the same issue but for me, BOTH .bat files open up Steam and take me to the store page for Chaos Rising. Can't figure out my issue, as I'm a fairly avid mod user of lots of diff games so I'm familiar with installing and putting them in the correct folders and etc. Really not sure what's up with this one :(

Been playing this a few times, pretty interesting so far. I don't suppose there's a way to remove or limit generic wargear items from loot drops since that tends to be a issue picking up several during one mission.
Also is there any progress with fixing the Thule Edition ? It was mentioned that the uploader had trouble with that version but I suppose alternatively would providing a download link from google drive or some other upload site suffice meantime ?
