Demons of Razgriz (Alpha 0.2) Mod.
You should remove the first Razgriz release's folder from your Dawn of War directory
before installing this version. To install, simply extract the .zip file's contend into the DoW folder, double click
on razgriz.bat and you can play.
Changes in alpha build 0.2:
- Fixed some bugs
- Custom icons for all units and buildings
- Vehicles and buildings 20% bigger
- Infantery units vary in size
- Implementation of the Pariah Blast ability
Here's a short summary about the background of my chapter (a full version in German can be found in the
Background Draft.rtf file):
The Demons of Razgriz were founded about 500 years ago with the intentions to create a Chapter that was tactically more
flexible then the standard Codex chapters and could battle demons and rogue psykers; hence the organisation of the chapter
varied significantly from the Codex Astartes. The special, newly created geneseed of the chapter produces Pariahs, Marines
which are virtually "soulless", and therefore practically immune against warp influence, similar to the
Due it's relative youth the chapter has only few Dreadnoughts and makes it up with a high number of vehicles. The Demons of
Razgriz also field many battle servitors, since the process of creating a Space Marine with the new Razgriz geneseed has a high
failure rate.
The chapter was declared traitor after an incident in their home star system, involving an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor, several
Space Marine Chapters and alien races. What exactly happend is not clear, the only fact is that the Chapter is on the run,
with the local Adeptus Mechanicus forces of their homeworld, who also were declared traitors.
Here are the new/changed units that can be fielded (exculding the standard Space Marine units):
Rune Atamar, Death Force Captain - Replaces the Force Commander
Hammerfest, Gun Servitor Veteran - Fire support and hero unit
Macross Siebenkreuz - First Dreadnought of the Razgriz, standard Dreadnought with twin-linked laser. Only him and a hellfire
Dreadnought are possible to field, no more then those two are avaiable.
Thunder Force Squad - Squad of four Land Speeder Typhoons, can shoot missiles additional to their normal weapons.
Death Force Squad - Pariah Unit, excellent at ranged combat against demons and commanders
Death Force Assault Squad - Pariah Unit, excell at close combat against demons and commanders
Angkor Urdar, Death Force Terminator Captain - Powerful close combat unit, hero, avaiable at tier 2 along with the Death Force units
Gun Servitor Squad - Fire support servitor squad.
Combat Servitor Squad - Close combat servitor squad.
Skitarri Squad - Adeptus Mechanicus elite soldiers with versatile upgrades.
Tactical Squad - Four weapon upgrades and frag grenade ability from the beginning, slightly more expensive than default Space Marines.
Assault Squad - Melta bombs avaiable from the beginning, slightly more expensive then default Assault Marines.
Worker Servitor Squad - Can be upgraded to three members, cheapter and weaker then the default Servitor.
Scout Squad - Can only have three team members with two weapon upgrade slots.
Terminators and Assault Terminators - Don't need the personal teleporter research to teleport.
Rhino Transporter - Doesn't need smoke launcher research to deploy smoke.
