This is a beta release of DCG v5.0 for the Men of War: Assault Squad 2 game packaged as a single download - the Map Pack is included in this release. However, the Unit Pack is not included because it is still being worked on.
Maybe I've done something wrong (although I've been using DCG for a few years now), but the save overwrite/write doesn't seem to be working. DCG doesn't overwrite my chosen save file when I create a campaign. If I choose an empty folder, DCG writes nothing to that folder. I do not have MoW:AS2 installed in program files, and I've run DCG as Administrator as a check anyway.
Picking up on where you wrote: "DCG doesn't overwrite my chosen save file when I create a campaign" --
DCG does not overwrite the save file, it only reads the save file. You have to overwrite the save file yourself when you have completed the mission in AS2.
After that, DCG will detect the new save file date, read it and generate a new mission after you re-equip your forces (DCG overwrites the mission file).
I am generating the initial mission. When I load up the designated save, it's still the save that I created from within AS2. It's just one of the default missions from the game.
So, I can't complete the mission, because it doesn't seem to be created.
Hmm, maybe you are trying to load the save file in AS2? That is not how it works. Instead, you have to start the Dynamic Campaign mission each time (like if it was a mission you are just starting for the first time). DCG replaces this mission each time you generate a new one, so you always play DCG by selecting it.
Infantry units, that get level up (veterancy level), do not go to the next mission. Accordingly, vehicles, in which they are placed, are not transferred to the next mission too. Infantry inventory do not save.
Thanks for the bug report. I thought we had fixed that. That's one of the problems with having so many Men of War variants out there (especially ones still in development) is that it's a lot to test. If it's a straightforward fix, we'll release a patch for it.
Does this bug apply only in DCG v5.0 or in DCG v4.5 as well ? If the units are lost all the time, tha game is de facto unplayable, because you´ll need more points to hire them repeatedly.
Just wondering is it just me or does the ammount of units seem smaller? I enjoyed the larger unit selection but i have vauge memories of being able to use italy and have alot more units are they coming in the 5.0 patches?
Unfortunately the unit pack for AS2 isnt ready for release yet, and I doubt that it will be so in the near future, due to the member responsible for AS2, has become a part of the dev team for Gates of Hell, and the few of us who is left in the team, isn't very fond of AS2 due to different reasons.
The unit selection in vanilla MoW is much bigger than the one in AS2 and also includes Italy with all the units (more than 100+ 3d models) we made for them.
When I try to extract the archive, Winrar says that various files contained within are corrupted. 7Zip reports the same. I've redownloaded the mod a few times to no avail. Do you know of any way I could fix this problem?
I´ve no idea why you get this error message. I just downloaded it, and had no problems whatsoever, 7Zip didnt reported anything as corrupt. Have you checked your harddrive, ie. made sure that it hasnt any corrupted areas on it?
Please use either WinRar or 7z. The latter is free to use, the first you can use for a period of three months before being forced to pay for it. Both can be downloaded online.
If possible, how about automatically generating a map by quoting the map moving system?
Then, I think that it is relatively easy to create a program that can manage soldiers and vehicle inventory continuously.
In other words, creating an endless scenario map.
The problem is designation of partner country and age.
However, I think that this can be solved by selecting it at the start of the scenario.
Is it difficult to create such a program from an existing program?
If I understand you correctly, you want a generator that generates a map with a random look each time? I dont think that is possible due to how the editor do work.
Its a bug that our coder is trying to solve but I dont know if he has been able to solve it yet or not since he is very busy with his real life for the moment.
Do you need a helper? I am a game designer, I have 11 years of work experience, UI design, or 3D model production (specialization machinery) have experience. I am very fond of your MOD, I hope I can help you.
I'm not the team leader nor do I code (I only do easy stuff like new maps and 3d models). If you are interested in helping us, I do recommend that you send a PM to Jason1 who is the team leader and coder. He is really busy right now though, so a reply might take a while.
I remember playing this is MoW when I used to spend like 10 minutes after each battle scavenging for weapons and getting my soldiers the best weapons, tons of ammo, and all the equipment they could carry, I hope a patch is released soon to fix the inventory bug :D
Is the reseting soldiers fixed? :)
I think that was fixed a while back, but I'm not the AS2 tester so I can't say for sure.
It's not fixed, I'm still getting resetting with AS2 version DCG 5.0.
It has NOT been fixed. Soldiers are still resetting in the Assault Squad 2 version of DCG 5.0.
omg this mods still alive?? wow why not move to the assault squad 2 page?
I may try to make a page there to point at this one. It's easier to keep just one page so we don't have to repeat comments a million times. :)
ah that makes sense im sure though this mod would have a lot more followers if it was posted on as1 or as2 page
there is no read more option :(

Crap, you are so right! I had forgotten to load it that way. I'm sorry to waste your time, but thanks for the help!
DCG v.5.0 for AS2 has a bug with reseting units inventory.
Infantry units, that get level up (veterancy level), do not go to the next mission. Accordingly, vehicles, in which they are placed, are not transferred to the next mission too. Infantry inventory do not save.

I had same problem.
Minimap was not changed to the next mission,
and Infantry's Exp and inventory is not saved.
That is why I will be inexplicable appearance of the reasons for the loss of vehicles?
Veterancy is saving and transferring properly for me but I am still getting inventories resetting on infantry.
Any luck on that matter yet?
Does this bug apply only in DCG v5.0 or in DCG v4.5 as well ? If the units are lost all the time, tha game is de facto unplayable, because you´ll need more points to hire them repeatedly.
Which version works for the version 3.032? I know its really old version but my current internet speed wont allow updates (its not even 100kbps).
The earliest version of DCG (that works with AS2) is v4.5 but if I remember it correctly, it only works with later versions of AS2,

Inventory of soldiers is reset again. :-(
How i can repair that?
Does it happen all the time, or just randomly? I´m not the programmer for DCG, but I´m pretty sure that Jason1 is working on a fix for this.
~Zeke.
It happen all the time, when the battle begins on the next map.
Please fix resetting inventories
Jason1 is trying to fix this, but I do not know how far he has come up on a solution.
~Zeke.
All working. Good job :D
"All working"? It is not true! The fact that the mod is good - it's true!
If you could add what it is that doesnt work, it would give us a chance to tey and fix it.
~Zeke.
There are problems with the resetting units inventories and the disappearance of vehicles when moving to the next map.

Thank you very much for making this MOD.
Why the soldiers of the equipment will be restored? My German soldiers picked up Bazuka and hope to use it in the next task. Is this BUG?
