I get an error and no download
You get an error from trying to download the mod from the link above?
When clicking 'Download' above I get error "410 - Gone".

I don't know if it is just me, but when I fight at night time in one of the big cities the game lags to what feels like 5 fps it's awful, no matter how I change my settings the fps doesn't change. Any ideas?
Probably your PC cant handle it. Which graphics card are you using (nvidia cards usually works well, but the game engine is well known for having problem with other gfx-brands).
You can disable night fights in the settings, this might help you as well.

I have a HD7850, When the mission starts it's fine but as the mission progresses the performance gets worse and worse.
There has been much complaining about lag in the game at the official forums, and all those who has complained, has had other brands of gfx-cards. Seems like Nvidia brands are the only ones which works well with the game engine. Hopefully the new Men of War:Assault Squad 2 will fix this problem.
Try disabling the night fights in DCG settings, hopefully this will make the game move a bit better. Also turn off fog-of-war (if you are playing with it), since that one can also be a killer.

Can you post a screen of the map? Night settings might reduce performance due to the increased lights and shadows. Most city maps have terrible performance because of the destructible buildings. I believe each destructible part of the building is a separate entity so city maps will have more entities than most other maps.
Assault Squad performs more poorly due to all the extra graphics effects and textures they piled into the engine. If you have the original Men of War game, you will likely have a much better experience performance wise, if you are willing to give up a little bit of graphic quality...
Buildings in Men of War are entities,so if its a big city, frames will usually drop (unless you have a super computer)
Sorry I don't have the map anymore, I managed to finish the mission. It was a huge map, one half farmland one half city and a bunch of trains. I had fog of war on, but I'll turn it off if I have any more performance issues. Normally it runs fine even at night.
Sounds like it is maki_02. On my system (Intel Core i7-2600K CPU @ 3.4Ghz, 16Gb Ram and Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti) it runs fine.
Some city maps can start to lag if the AI is caught inside a building or got stuck on a obstacle. When this happens, it will lag the whole mission until either the AI has managed to get unstucked, or killed. So, it you might just have been unlucky with this mission, the next mission on the same map might run as a dream.

I'm having problems with the 4.0 version, it just won't progress through the first operation/mission after completing all the objectives, but instead just keeps being there at the "A campaign is in progress" mode. and I can't do anything about other than starting a new campaign over and over playing just one mission, or go and cry in my pillow, please help out

You have to save the mission when it's done. Make sure you save the mission as the same name that you picked in your DCG settings. If not, DCG will not see your save and progress forward. Also leave DCG program running while you play Assault Squad.
I did both of those to no avail, but I'll try that same solution one more time
Edit: I am supposed to save the mission right after I win it, right?
To no avail; It still does not work, even reinstalled it, but no cigar for me
I'm putting together a Install and Play tutorial video tonight. Check back in tomorrow and see if it helps
Looking forward to it very much, please, if it does not pain you, also add instructions as to what happens after you finish the first mission, because I think I messed up somewhere around there. Cheers

I just logged in (to an old crappy account, since I screwed up my new one even worse) to say thank you, you are a life saver and I found out where I screwed up, it was locating my save folder, as I thought I could pick any destination and didn't know it had to be that specific folder in my documents, thanks mate.
Always crashes, the previous version worked... There seems to be a problem in the set dir, but then i tried to isolate that and then was a problem with properties, so i then isolated that and than i thought there was a problem with italy so i tried japan but also errors pls help.
Edit: so i tried disabling my mod witch had some sloved down gun rounds like in FOW and it worked so i cut than when i want to play this.

Thanks for spotting the bug. Some one else has reported this and it will be corrected in a patch soon.
It sounds awesome though! Why fix awesome biker ghosts on a mission to save freedom?!

I get this error when i start the installer "unable to find the file: C:\Program Files\1C Company\ Men of War\resource\map.pak which is defined in settings.xml
And because of that I can't extract the maps.. Any ideas on how to solve the problem?
Are you using the correct DCG version? Just asking, since you are refering to MoW but write the post in the MoW:AS version of DCG.

Watch the install tutorial video in the videos section. You probably missed something when setting up DCG.
When i start the campaign.exe : Stopped working.
Doesnt tell us anything to be honest. Did you install the three necessary subprograms?

Germany artillery missing?! No heavy 10,5 cm and 15 cm cannons anymore?! Also when Normand pack is enabled mg34 have no ammonition
Please read the changelog, the artillery change is explained there.
Ask Normand to fix his add-on as it breaks several things in DCG. We are not responsible for 3rd party add-ons and their compatibility.
If you want to play with heavy artillery, your only solution is to use MoW instead of MoW:AS. Sorry.

I haven't played this mod yet, but from what I've seen, it looks amazing and I definitely intend to try it when I get more playing time.
One thing I found very annoying in the stock game is that you can't transport machineguns or mortars using vehicles. Can you transport them with trucks or any other vehicles in this mod?

how to install on men of war as
You see the word "tutorial" (on the same line as "summary", "news" etc?
There you can find readable tutorials on how to play, install etc. And on the same line there is a word saying "videos" where you can find videos (what else) on how to play, install, etc.

There should be much more to the error message than that. Please post the version of the game and version of DCG you are running. No info, no answer.
Im playing DCG Version 4.0 and latest steam updated assault squad. Men of war vietnam DCG works for me, which tells me that i have all the correct extra files required for game
Issue with german 7.6 cm Pak. Only crew spawns at battlefield with and without Normand pack intalled
There is no 7.6cm Pak. Sounds like your install might be damaged from Normand's Pack
Yep, after clean install everything works again.
