An update to the D3 in the Dark mod. Changes include bug fixes and graphical enhancements.
D3_intheDark v2.75 by Dafama (1-1-2008)
This mod makes Doom 3 closes some lights and another kind of poltergeist things
at random intervals in the any maps.
Attention !...: This mod needs the latest v1.3 or higher patch !
v2.75 - BASE & D3XP both versions. (Poltergeist special)
-Doors and similar opens and closes when they want.
-Latest BHNG shaders.
-Fixed bugs on the chainsaw blood and light radius and click sound !
-Uses Chromatic Dispersion shaders by TheRealSceneGraphManager, of course. :)
-Better Plasmagun plasma imapact fx.
-Full mod, do not install into the old one, remove the old mod folder first !!!
v2.7 - (internal) BASE & D3XP both versions. (Poltergeist special)
-All lights that have to be ON are ON now, but all they have shadows and some have bigger radius.
-NEW F.E.A.R. alike muzzleflashes.
-Auto Q4 style chaingun weapon.
v2.6 - Base & D3XP both versions. (Poltergeist special)
- NEW more realistic shaders.
- Lights that breaks, toggle or explode at any time in any level !
- At any time an object can fly or be quicked through the level with no apparent reason !
- Elevators and Platforms go crazy some times.
- New skins for Fat & Boney.
- New FX for all weapons, even increassed size of the particles.
- New Field of View, but keeping the weapons visible like always.
- NEW moveable ammo, powerups and many objects with dynamic lights & shadows attached. Zakyrus give me the idea ! :)
v2.5.1 - I have made some bug fixes and improvements on both versions since now on v2.5 to v2.5.1.
- In Delta 2b map the two Imp containers appeared without lights before, i now has re-enabled the lights for both.
- Also i have made moveable the first table in the AlphaLabs 2 map.
- Changed to a NEW smart A.I. for monsters, zombies, npcs and Sentrys. (They will hunt you !)
v2.5 - For both base & roe versions.
- NEW MuzzleFlashes for all weapons, independent from mounted flashlights, amazing !
- NEW SFX and Sound for weapons and other small things.
- NEW Shaders, but different ones than the Brilliant Highlights NG v1.0 that i already use in my other mods.
- NEW playability thanx to better Monster A.I. and specially to the changes i have made in the weapons !
- Sentry & Bernie now fixed, like in my other mods.
- There are TWO SP map packs to choose into the mod's folder, one is the more Darker version (alternative) and the other is the Dark version (default), only for brave Marines !
(Can be changed renaming the zz_maps_inthedark_clear.pk4 to zz_maps_inthedark_clear.pk4.zip to disable the clear map-pack and renaming the zz_maps_inthedark.pk4.zip to zz_maps_inthedark.pk4 to enaable the darker one.)
- NEW monsters/Zombies kicking objects extra capability !
- Uses some of the skins from the Detailed mod by Trojanman190.
- Added some D3_Alpha normal and bumpmaps for textures on surfaces, monsters, characters and weapons to make them better.
- Reduced radius on the weapon mounted flashlights.
- New Menu and Launch screen.
Now you will feel the TRUE FEAR and HORROR this game can make !!!
You have flashlights mounted on some weapons to advance and the light that makes the weapons when you or the monsters fires them...
Note...: Not all lights are OFF, I am leaved a BIG amount of moveable Swinglights and desklamps, lanterns, flashlights, ammo, medkits, armor, fire, electronic portables, etc...
Warning !...: This mod is NOT for the users that hate DARKNESS, the porposse of this Mod is to make Doom 3 much darker than already is, making the only available lights to be the FlasLight and the Weapons muzzzleflash and mounted flashlights !
