I've dug out my copy of Freelancer to play this. I'm already in awe, it sounds great and I can't wait to dig in to the multiplayer. It's 1 and a half gigs, the game is only 800 megs and was already a pretty hefty universe. I can't wait!
I hope this mod works.. I couldnt even get 1.7 to run it was fighting me the whole time, then I read some comments and OP said something about 1.7 not being suppportted and that the new version should be downloaded, I was so angry that i wasted my time.. 2days! Its not anyones fault tho, I just think mods are hard to work with :[ Hopefully this proves me wrong

When ever I get to the Cross fire 1.82 launcher a message pops up saying Runtime Error '53'
File not Found: CF_CL.dll

that file is clearly part of the installation package so i would assume that your installation failed
Perhaps I should go to the Portal. No open single player after choosing that option. So played the story and got to Cal Minor but Juni doesn't appear to do the escort mission. So did the whole reinstall deactivate re activate thing, chose open single player and I'm in the story again...What the....?

old savegames are not compatible except the ones from Crossfire 1.81

Does the laucnher have to use MS framework? I guess that might be it..
i did look after it and can not see a problem at all, the file is there and does not require any frameworks

I download this and it comes out as exe.ob! (including the exclamation mark). I googled this but there was little info. A little help please!
it comes as pure exe
the ob! might be an file extension of your download manager for incomplete downloads
and yet, you can me help with the problems of game, when I start a game, gives out an error with such words: "On your computer not found out a compatible video card" but all other mods work normally

I dont know if anyone has try this mod on win7 32bit but after the installation, the in-game font became extremely small, cant read anymore. After starting a new game, the first hint window wont display (Objectives and Navigations). All other windows wont display neither, and i can only see the close button after clicking on their icon. Run as admin/compatible with xp wont solve the problem. If i uninstall the mod then everything is back to normal. Any thoughts?
i am running this mod on win7 and did not notice any font problems with it so far.
Could it be that you try to make the mod run on widescreen?
no i just did a clean installation of the game then the mod manager then crossfire mod. I notice that if i change the resolution under option (i cant see it but the up/down arrows are still there) and apply the new res then the font is nice and clear. But whenever i restart the game the font becomes real small again.
this problem is new to me
u know what, when u said widescreen it reminds me of JFLP, i tried install the JFLP and it actually solve the problem. What i did is i deactivate crossfire, install JFLP, then reactivate crossfire, now everything is nice and clear, yay. And thank you for the respond ;)

Classic Trent, Outfit 2, Crossfire Standard intro music, Classic Freelancer HUD, Normal SP, Sirius Sector intro, Classic Cursors, High Quality, Purple, Activated Advanced Shaders, Enabled High Quality effects/Dynamic lights, Original Freelancer+Crossfire intro, Normal Reticles, Deactivated compatability mode.
Any ideas?

Okay, so, got it to activate, but when I started the game, let it patch, and so forth, I get the error: "Problem starting Multiplayer ... [E7]"
Running this in Singleplayer, if it matters.

Need Help; Downloaded the file, or at least two files that are. 2010_09_19Crossifre18.21 and 2010_09_19.exe.part.
The second file is 1,388,257kb large while the other is 1kb.
It says that the file is 1.4gig, the downloading stopped before finishing. Is it possible to somehow get the last of the download without having to download the entire thing again, because I only really had one chance to get it and the net f&%# up on me.
Any help would be appreciated.
