nope - totally do NOT agree - of all the 'overdone' mods, this is the best by far in terms of the AI being difficult enough to outweigh the mod balance itself; makes for awesome online compstomps that go on for at least an hour, if not more! 007 is not nearly as hard as 005 (still the best of the releases, in terms of the mod and the stable AI), so making it less powerful makes no sense! Just my opinion and exeriences, playing this mod - i know it may seem *too* powerful, but either you need to challenge yourself to accept that Strategy is more than spamming units, or play another mod like Beng's LDN, where no matter how many opponents you face, the AI will never be able to overcome the special mod powers. Frankly, Untitled and N=Project are the two toughest stable AI mods, they just don't have all these crazy powers...
agreed. Contra's AI is its party piece. It should not be weakened. Its so much fun when teaming up with friends to take out the AI :)
i think that we all just want easy and medium put back. very hard and insane shouldnt be deleted we just want easy and medium back

The patch doesnt work for me it still crashes because the patch file vanishes when i start the mod.NEED HELP PLEEZ:(
1. Start launcher - install contra
2. install ai fix
3. Start game from ZH shortcut (NOT FROM the LAUNCHER!!!)

You should make a new launcher for contra with fixed AI. if you release 008 soon you do not need to. I made my own .bat file for launching both of them,(your launcher and that thing with the copy of the fixed AI file). if you want it or want more details tell me.

YES! Thanks for (i think) responding to my message on the Contra 008 change log (part 7) All GLA AI now works perfectly.
Oh ye...and don't lower the AI difficulty, It's great the way it is.
I think that if you are going to make the AI easier to beat, you should make it a separate download, so we have a choice on the matter...PLEASE DON'T put easier AI in Contra 008. Will ruin it and make people not want it.
I learned that there's still a small bug in the AI fix. When playing as Infantry general in skirmish with 3 or 5 AI players, the game crashes in 10 to 15 minutes. So far that's all but the MOD is very challenging.

u should just make a patch to download for easier ai so ppl can decide if they want to get it or not...

C&C Generals ZH Contra NEEDS A NEW GAME ENGINE! Even when you play it on fast pc's with high system spec's, the game keeps crashing in 4 players map or more. It would be better if developers will think about a "higher rank game engine", just like in a C&C 3 Tiberium Wars, in my opinion that is more important than making new units or graphics.
If you can remember Generals was made in 2003 ;)at the time engine was playable.

You mean to tell me, that my AI wont give up at the beginning of the game? Are you sure about this?

just wanna ask, im kinda new here. i already copied the SkirmishScripts.scb to folder named scripts on my C&C zero hour folder. But the mod still don't apply, can anyone help me ?
A few AI's work I find.Not all but a few. Got a decent match out of 2 lazer genrals (one being me) VS a chinies infantry AI and tank AI (both on the hardest setting) on Lights out. I have to wonder if maps influence AI behaver cause some maps crash more then others (I'm only using stock maps right now.
this is a good patch for AI.... ^_^
the ai is really good for a challenge but i like to mess around with units sometimes and not have to worry constantly on defending and attacking
