Welcome to Vietnam! This is Tombstone's Vietnam mod for CC3 upgraded to Modswap compatibility by CSO SimTek April 2007, (Credits for original CC3 mod at the end of this text.)
Command the Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV) and Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam), or the North Vietnamese Army (Democratic Republic of Vietnam, People's Army of Vietnam-PAVN) and National Liberation (NLF) Front forces, (known as the Vietcong, or VC).
Time periods are seasonal from Summer of 1965 to Spring of 1969. Availability of units in Spring 1969 relflects later-war as well.
Rank affects availability of units. Lt's will be able to select Marine and some other specialty units, as well as more vehicles. Special Forces and related units at Captain. NVA/VC Lt's have available additional support and more full squads. Capt's qualify for more elite units and armor in later years.
MAPS: All jungle and Pacific maps from CC3 are good for use. Most maps without winter-type terrain or elements different from stock CoI will be compatible.

This campaign readme is for the Three Tours of Vietnam campaign.
It compasses three general time periods from 1966 through 1968.
The task force will be assigned missions that are outlined in the briefings.
Many of these will be in support of off-map operations; you will typically be asked to deny territory and inflict casualties.
Succeed in these operations and you will be promoted. Rank will increase the availability of stronger units.
This campaign is designed for either H2H or solo play. (See below.)

Tombstone's Vietnam Mod for CC3: Credits
Well the mod is finally done. It took along time to make and it had many delays but I think it is well worth the what. I would like to take this time to thank the following people for their help because with out them I would still be doing this mod by myself.
Zonbie: Shadows, and tech help
AnzFuture: Web page
Naked Foot: Paddy & Plei Me map
Das_Fuchs: Vehicle images
Frantz: Swamp Map
George Thanos: Terrain file & Element file
Also I would like to thank all the people who made the tools for editing Close Combat 3 because with out them none of this would be possible and for Ryan Ross for making his web page because with out it we would never have gotten together.
THINGS TO KNOW:
The M79 Thumper and the 40mm grenade launchers are setup of indirect fire but direct view. What does this mean? Well if your line of sight is blocked (i.e.: houses, hills, trees) you will get a red line but you can still shoot the weapon like a mortar. The reason it is setup like this is because if it was setup like a mortar (having a orange line) the GL would only shoot at that area and not follow the enemy. So your team would only attack the area. Now the team will follow the enemy and once the team rest of the team sees the enemy they will attack them so you don’t have to keep readjusting.
