Very fun and surprising! Some notes:
- barnacles are gibbable forever (it's probably better to remove them from ceiling or crash them after few additional hits);
- if you catched by barnacle and kill it, you will stick in it;
- it's probably better to make scripted NPCs ungibbable, until they finish to play a scripted sequence;
- game crashes when turrets begin to shoot hornets;
- some weapons work wrong if cl_lw enabled;
- crowbar miss hit decals on objects;

Few ideas:
- how about to reload weapons by whole clip (maybe on hard difficulty);
- how about to make snarks agressive to anyone (and anyone agressive to snarks, at least if they attack first);
- how about to make possible for barnacles to eat zombies and headcrabs.

fully gibeable barnacles will be cool, and expanded ration for them too, if they will eat unsuspecting aliens too, (like in HL2). What about idea for turrets, make them gibeable too when they blow by explosives or busted already destroyed turrets with crowbar, and when player gibbed tripod turret, spawn ammo clip that used to feed turret's machine gun?

What about idea add to items "physics"? If they shooted they will bounce away, like this: Moddb.com

Zoonyarts, this is a masterpiece ! Totally awesome mod, you know I also hate you for releasing this. Now I have to replay so many hl1 vanilla mods with this modification as base! :/
hehe
It is really brilliant. I also like how the AI reacts on grenades.
Just played 30 mins so far, will write a longer review soon with ideas and bugs.
Oh a small idea I just had, the roaches, make a dead version of it, when you step on them there will be a squished roach model on ground :D
Also when hornets are shoot and die, make dead hornets so they fall to ground :)

So what are your plans on the next version and do we see new attacks / abillitys for the current enemies ?? that would be overkill !

Thanks for test it! Well still considerable amount of work to get the whole idea of what must be a good Half-Life gore mod :D I like your ideas and probably try to develop them. New abilitys / weapons / behaviours for all enemies is the goal of future releases.

What about new enemies in future releases? Some beta monsters looks really badass, especially panthereye, stukabat and archer, strange why valve cut them, Point of View has sounds for them, and add them into HL maps.

Anyone have a quick installation guide? I entered the correct path in the installer (so "bhl" is in "Half-Life") but nothing has changed.

Thanks

If you install it in your correct Steam / Half-Life directory it must appear on steam

I tried changing the file (extentionless) to .exe and it ran, but the mod doesn't seem to have taken effect. Why is there no installation guide?

I really wish there were buttons to summon more Scientists and Barneys in the Zoo map.

You should consider joining up with Moddb.com to add to Scientist Slaughterhouse

You're supposed to open the mod after you install it, not Half-Life. When you open steam, you should see something called "Brutal Half Life" in your list of games.

You then need to look in the Main Menu, there should be something that allows you to change to the mod.
