the actors became the original brutal doom characters when you shoot them, there is no dismemberment or fatalities and you can die very easy because your attacks are very slow. But I think this mod is original and it could be better if it has that caracteristics :D
Hi there! This is my other account. Yeah this mod has lots of issues and I really just created it whilst messing around, I didn't do very much in the way of modding except for finding how to properly load freedoom with brutal doom. Also I made this back when I first got into modding so that's why it's nothing too crazy, haha
Could you make one where it has the normal freedoom guys AND make weapons similar to Brutal DooM BUT original. (Weapons made by you and not taken from Brutal DooM)
Also, make it run ON the FreeDooM Wads. (Make one for Phase 1 AND 2
Any progress on this? I am wondering if there has been changes to this, a Brutal Freedoom sounds like a nice idea. :)

This is pretty cool; however, it is now obsolete with Brutal Doom v21 Public Beta. I just tested it out. That mod now does EXACTLY what this did (replace FreeDoom sprites with Doom's and add gore/FX) ... along with much more. This concept is kind of neat: with this combo (Brutal Doom v21 Public Beta, GZDoom, and Freedom wads) you get a 100% open source brutal experience. With internet access, there's no need to dig around for an original game wad to begin slaying!
P.S. FreeDoom's levels & music are actually rather good. I just never liked their sprites. Now it's looking pretty @#$% sexy!
