I just spend all day downloading and it's corrupt! not happy!
Kudos, you got my track, does it REQUIRE EP1? HL2 and EP1 have the same engine, double doh!

In that case, I must say, that source engine 2...
Looks exactly the same as source engine one, feels the same, same stutter/lag/crashes at times.
Meh, they got me fooled.
One difference is that around the crosshair (on the newer version) it shows your health and ammo.
HL2, HL2:DM, DOD:S, CS:S, EP1 all run on the same engine - the one that got updated for Episode 1. Portal, TF2 and EP2 are the ones that use a different version of the Source engine.
Check it out for yourself with the SourceSDK.
It does require Episode One, however Source SDK Base can be used to play mods. See the comments on the mods front page here on ModDB on how to launch with Source SDK Base. :)

I had to install this twice. I did not now that you had to change the file dirctory in the setup. cant wait to play this

You just need to set the Installation Folder to your "..\Steam\Steamapps\Sourcemods" folder as instructed.
Damn, after i started my PC today, steam would not find the game, first time this has ever happened. It is not listed in my steam games, but it used to be listed, how can i fix this?
soz, after i rebooted it was there, but wouldnt work, so i changed the
"SteamAppID" in "gameinfo.txt" to "320" ( Half Life 2, but 220 is the direct one i think. ) instead of "380"
( Source SDK Base ) so now i use hl2 instead of source sdk base! xD

wen this not working for others drag all the stuff out of the exe file and put it to were ever you want it and the setup will work
The installer is broken please give me a tutorial on how to install this AND FIX THE INSTALLER BY USING A RAR INSTEAD WITH THE MOD FOLDER IN IT
I get a Node Graph Out of Date... Rebuilding... Error and there's noone in the city besides me and it's 1st person, lol. Does anyone know how to fix this? I really want to play this mod. All other mods I've tried work fine so I think it's the mod. I have Half-Life 2: Episode 1.
Follow Indaril's guide above to play it with SDK Base 2006. The node graph error still happens but it fixes the NPCs and basically makes the thing playable.
I downloaded the file and all i get is windows installer package and a winrar thing and i did both but nothing happens
help when whas installing the game it said source file not found: C:\users\Oliver\AppData\Local\Temp\ Rar$DI65.670\Bloodstone_setup1.cap. verify that the file existe and that you can access it. PLZ HELP ME
Extract the folder with all the files somewhere, the installer won't find that archive if you're installing from the RAR.
I was having fun on this mod, and when I get far, randomly when I go to another area, after the map changes, it just crashes, and when I relaunch the mod, when I reload the game, instead of me being where I left off, instead, when it reloads, it just shows me standing in an area at the bottom of the screen (same place u see in the main screen u see after u launch the game from Steam where there's the main menu), and the camera views in the air where I can look around and when I look down I can see myself from high above, and I can't even move!! I can only look around in the background that appears on the game's main menu screen!! I even enable cheats and enable "noclip", and I'm still stuck (even the camera is stuck in noclipping mode)!! So I have no choice but to start the game all over again, and I did, and I got even further, and after 2 hours after killing those 2 characters I had to arrest, the game just crashed after I exited the sewer, and I was ******!! So I looked the the gameinfo.txt file, and the app id was already at 215, so the text file is just fine. So are there any patches that can make this mod stable enough for players to complete the whole game without it crashing? And is there a patch that lets players load it properly to where they left off instead of the load game feature spawning them into the game's main menu screen background?
