Installation method:
*It is recommended for you to delete the previously existing asheep folder from the Black Mesa root directory*
*Opt-in for the Black Mesa 1.5 public beta to escape some bugs and errors*
1. Download the mod and unpack it;
2. Move the files into your Black Mesa root directory (*\steamapps\common\Black Mesa);
3. Launch the mod via one of the .bat files (asheep.bat for the new UI, asheep_oldUI.bat for the old UI).

Critical errors
Recent testing of the mod on the latest BM public beta revealed a number of errors that lead to a crash to the desktop. Those errors do not reoccur, and after loading an autosave, you can continue playing.
Crashes on as_c3map01 and as_c5map03 map load.
To evade this you should lower Texture Quality. If it didn’t help – wait for fix release.
General recommendations to avoid problems
Do not try to set max quality on the options related to the following:
- Filtering;
- Dynamic Shadows (e.g Sun Shadows);
- Dynamic Light;
Recommended level of graphics: High.
Other mods and addons
We recommend you to delete all previously installed mods/addons, which weren’t tested on the 1.5 version of the game.

Map: as_c2map03 crashes after clibing in the air shaft. After that cant start the game anymore
Try running it through the developer console. This error occurred in the last release, but not everyone has it. The reason may be in the ultra settings, since the next map uses water reflections, which in the beta version may cause an error
It works again, after i've just restart the pc. There was the autosave trigger exactly on that place. But thanx for your help. I'm very enjoying your Mod
Can not get the mod to run, have tried it in public beta and normal. also have uninstalled the game and mod and tried to get it to run but still nothing. Command window comes up then closes and nothing happens

This is happening to me too, but only in my 1.5.2 version of Black Mesa. Try running it on 1.0 or any version before "Definitive Edition" update and it might help. Also keep in mind that CLEAR (no mods, addons or any other stuff that is not from crowbar collective) installation is best chance of running it. Hope it will help you, comment again if you would need something more.

I started playing, and so far what i have to report is your team forgot to improve the textures in the first map, still the old one's, the new one's only appears after the event. And the game crashed in the end of the first chapter in the transition to the second chapter.
For some reason, it went back to the default pistol. Any way to fix this?

Cyvo helped you whith modifications, but your mod still chrashes on same places as the privious version. And when i try to load next map with console, i just get the notice: unknown command. So sad
To load the map via console, you should type "map *mapname*", without quotes.
If mod crashes, try to reduce some graphics options.

Best you can do at this point until fix release, is reinstalling Black Mesa and then making CLEAR (no mods, addons or any other stuff that is not from crowbar collective) installation. Keep trying, don t give up and it might get better, just like in my case. Hope it will help you, comment again if you would need something more.

They wrote to me about this error, restarting the level through the console helped. Most likely the reason is the breakdown of the script during the passage

I have an issue, when I load a game on second chapter after Black Mesa Definitive Edition update, game crashes all the time. Is there any way to fix it, or I would have to wait for another patch?
Map crashing occurs in this game very often, best way to fix it is probably in this case to reinstal Black Mesa and then make CLEAR (no mods, addons or any other stuff that is not from crowbar collective) installation. In my case it helped, it is a tricky bug that causes this mostly on weak computers. Hope it will help you, comment again if you would need something more.

Ok, I removed the old asheep directory and the exe file from the Black Mesa folder, copied the new asheep
directory into Black Mesa and the command 'bms.exe -game asheep' does not run the game.
I also tried bringing up Black Mesa and typing 'map as_с1map01' into the console, and it says
the map cannot be found.
The old asheep.exe also does not work, either.
I'm running the 'black-mesa-1-0' beta of the game...

There should be 4 more files in your Black Mesa directory: asheep.bat, asheep.sh, asheep_oldUI.bat and asheep_oldUI.sh. I recomend running asheep_oldUI.bat, as it is most optimal way to play it, also asheep.bat/.sh have some weird bug, causing whole menu and everything to not appear. Just "Run as administrator" asheep_oldUI.bat and it should run the game normaly, if not, try looking for file called "gameinfo" in asheep directory and chack if it is allright/copy and paste it to "bms" directory. Hope it will help you, comment again if you would need something more.

Amazing mod such good work my respect for your hard work
The chapter titles are all messed up and I can't change the langugage to make them fitting. Current language is German and it's all the normal Black Mesa chapter names. The game runs fine, but this bug is gonna confuse me eventually. Is there any fix to this?
You can try changing language in vanila "Black Mesa" game, depending on which version are you playing at. If nothing else works, there should be "caption language" tab in options that can at least change language of captionings. Of course, depending on which UI are you using, because im not exactlly sure about how it works in the new UI. Hope it will help you, comment again if you would need something more.
whenever i try to play this it crashes to desktop and removes the black mesa.exe .. anyone have any ideas on how i can play this?

Starting up the mod and then loading a map seems to take a little longer than games with VPKs. Is it possible to VPK some assets to speed up the loading times?
