sorry about posting this more then once am new here and was trying to find the right area to get help on this problem.
on the battlefield 2142 pc game i did the instructions and created a username attitudeadjuster and a password and my installed battlefield 2142 game once again allowed me play offline just fine last night , but i went back to start it again today and it goes black on the screen like it's going to start the game then goes back to regular screen on my pc . i don't know what happened with it . i tried with internet connection and without , it does the same things . can anyone help with this so i can get it working right ??

i would suggest try to 1) delete the profile 2) reset the hub you can be find it on the help tab. Also after you do all that press the install the patch again. See if that works. If it doesn't work perform an advanced diagnostics and post it here.
THANKS , i did get it working finally the offline , i will try the online sometimes. i see the server area's . any certain tips and directions on getting it to work with the online version . i created a username etc. already and e mail .

No problem. Yeah you can just patch with OpenSpy and you will be able to play online with other players.
BF2142 Hub 2 keeps asking to find game folder every time it is launched. I can see that it is set in user.config but it keeps insisting on asking when I launch it. Seems to work fine otherwise. Just a bit annoying having to navigate to the game folder every time.
Here is the quick answer: In the registry the location of where your game is installed is incorrect. You have to go into the registry and fix it. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142\InstallDir
What is happening?: When the hub launches it first checks the registry and looks for that location. If it can't find it it will complain. It's a rare issue but i think when your game was installed that was the original spot where you had selected and someway or another it got moved.
I can seem to create an account while in the in-game menu. It just says contacting EA Server
You must patch the game with a Redirect. On the hub navigate to the help tab> next to the drop down box there is a Install button. Click that and will install the necessary files you need. Then you can open the game and create an account.
but im already install the patch but it still not gonna let me create an account

You can then edit the Profile.con file and change the word singleplayer in the following code: LocalProfile.setName "singleplayer" to your username and the game will load with the fix.
What files change when installing the OpenSpy, NovaGames patch? Very necessary

And yes, where are user profiles stored in the launcher?
User profiles aren't stored in the launcher. The launcher reads the profiles of the BF2142 game which are typically stored in your Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles folder
why my frame net not working..well i guess i cant play this game now
Hmm, not having much luck. Gamepath is set correctly to where the .exe is located but currently got an "X" over BF2142.exe and rendDX9.DLL. Have downloaded and installed the 1.51 patch also. underneath Play is also says Patch REQ and then pressing play actually works but then when trying to create an account its still trying to connect to EA it seems

So sorry. Total newbie. I´ve installed the BF2142 HUB (Origin Game). But.... how to open the HUB for the next steps? What is the HUB at all? Couldn´t find it in my PC. Any help... would help ._.
you can find the hub on your start menu after you install it. next step is to press the install openspy button, and it should patch the game for you. The hub is an app that facilitates you getting back in game, and getting custom maps, mods, and patches.
Hello I just did all steps about patch 1.51 and doing installs from redirect open spy and map packs but aside from all this when I want to run bf2142 it goes not responding no matter if I launch it from hub or the main folder. I am using win8 tried compatibility mode but still no result.

When I open the hub and press play it says , "MainWindow.SaveUserSettings: Configuration system failed to initialize" "The Battlefield 2142 game was not found on your computer make sure it is installed and your path is correct" and "MainWindow.btnPlay_Click: Configuration system failed to initialize" Also when opening the hub, it says "MdlBF.SetBFPathAndVer: Configuration system failed to initialize" as well as, "MdlBF.SetBFDiagnostics: Configuration system failed to initialize" Any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

How can you create an account when you cant get through to the EA master servers?

I found some old Battlerecorder files and wanted to watch them.
If I start the game in offline-mode i can see all files in Battlerecorder, but if I start the replay it crashes after loading, latest message was "client verification" or something like that.
If I log in with the new online account, I dont see any files in Battlerecorder list.
Any ideas?

ciao a tutti, scusate se mi inserisco ma avendo un problemino con BF2142 forse qui posso trovare aiuto...dunque, dopo anni, volevo rigiocarlo ma pur avendo il disco originale con tanto di codice ecc..., appena lo lancio mi chiede un account EA che io ho, perchè sul sito di EA sono registrato! eppure non riesco ad entrare nel gioco, intendo il gioco offline, perchè immagino che online sarà impossibile che ci siano ancora i server funzioanti...o no? in ogni caso il gioco non riesce nemmeno a collegarsi in rete, anzi mi dice che la rete è scollegata ma non è vero ovviamente! qualcuno sa darmi una mano? grazie
