sorry about posting this more then once am new here and was trying to find the right area to get help on this problem.
on the battlefield 2142 pc game i did the instructions and created a username attitudeadjuster and a password and my installed battlefield 2142 game once again allowed me play offline just fine last night , but i went back to start it again today and it goes black on the screen like it's going to start the game then goes back to regular screen on my pc . i don't know what happened with it . i tried with internet connection and without , it does the same things . can anyone help with this so i can get it working right ??

i would suggest try to 1) delete the profile 2) reset the hub you can be find it on the help tab. Also after you do all that press the install the patch again. See if that works. If it doesn't work perform an advanced diagnostics and post it here.
THANKS , i did get it working finally the offline , i will try the online sometimes. i see the server area's . any certain tips and directions on getting it to work with the online version . i created a username etc. already and e mail .

No problem. Yeah you can just patch with OpenSpy and you will be able to play online with other players.
BF2142 Hub 2 keeps asking to find game folder every time it is launched. I can see that it is set in user.config but it keeps insisting on asking when I launch it. Seems to work fine otherwise. Just a bit annoying having to navigate to the game folder every time.

Here is the quick answer: In the registry the location of where your game is installed is incorrect. You have to go into the registry and fix it. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2142\InstallDir
What is happening?: When the hub launches it first checks the registry and looks for that location. If it can't find it it will complain. It's a rare issue but i think when your game was installed that was the original spot where you had selected and someway or another it got moved.
I can seem to create an account while in the in-game menu. It just says contacting EA Server
You must patch the game with a Redirect. On the hub navigate to the help tab> next to the drop down box there is a Install button. Click that and will install the necessary files you need. Then you can open the game and create an account.

What files change when installing the OpenSpy, NovaGames patch? Very necessary
RendDX9.dll, RendDX9_ori.dll, and the BF2142.exe files
And yes, where are user profiles stored in the launcher?
User profiles aren't stored in the launcher. The launcher reads the profiles of the BF2142 game which are typically stored in your Documents\Battlefield 2142\Profiles folder

So sorry. Total newbie. I´ve installed the BF2142 HUB (Origin Game). But.... how to open the HUB for the next steps? What is the HUB at all? Couldn´t find it in my PC. Any help... would help ._.
