Beyond Arm’s Reach is an action-adventure platformer. The player must use their physics based grappling hook to navigate and interact with the world in various ways. The game takes place in a steampunk universe during the 1950s where mankind has exhausted the entirety of Earth’s coal, and an invaluable sought after material. Society has been divided into the poor, and the wealthy. The poor are barely able to survive, living inside the abandoned coal mines, which lie beneath Earth’s severely polluted surface. The wealthy population are inhabited in exquisite dream-like cities, situated on the utopic, cloudland sky islands.
