the installer will make a shortcut I think, if it doesn't you will need to go to bf2, menu, community, custom games and there will it stand and just click on activate.
Apologies. I made an error in the shortcut. For me (on Windows 7), the installer just creates a shortcut to an icon! However, easy fix. Right click and select properties.
Put this in the start location (the location between the quotes being the path to the game).
I renamed the original ES2 folder name to ES2Mod without the space (just a habit when setting up shortcuts with quotes).
Below that Start Location should be like this (again pointing to the game folder):
"M:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\"
Hope that helps. I'm off to shoot the actual BAD guys instead of my own theam now! :-)
Hi.
There are some things you should fix so that everyone can enjoy this mod:
1º The shortcut made by the installer opens the icon of your mod, and not the mod by itself, so we have to open the mod by going to the bf2 vanilla and activating it, witch a lot of people don't know how to do, also it does not apeared on the first time becouse of a second problem.
2º The auto-installer is cool but you should change one thing, it is configured to install the mod the next way: "C:/Program Files/EA Games/Battlefield 2/mods", after "mods", there should be another folder specific for this mod, otherwise the game will not recognize it. I had to create a folder by myself, it is not hard, but a lot of people also don't know they have to do that too.
I hope I'm helping you. Then I will tell what I think about the mod, for now it looks prety cool.
I continue to have problems with the desktop shortcut, not only that, when i try to start the mod on comunity menu it gives me a error saying that staticmesh.fx file is missing, but the file is on the diretory i'm completly desperate to start playing this... please help me haha
I have made this forum tutorial with downloads for who wants to play singleplayer 64 sized maps with full bot support, both for vanilla bf2 and special forces xpack: Lost-soldiers.org
is it like when its done it atomaticaly gets in the game it self or do you have to get it in there
no you need to start it up.
How exactly are we supposed to start it up? It doesn't come with an .exe as far as I can tell.

Even when you correct you still have to activate it.

First of all great idea.
Second: It's the worst installer I've ever seen, it took me over half an hour to get it running.
Is it normal that the game crashes when entering a heli on seat2 or switching to it?
