Lothal was a planet in the Outer Rim, and is known for it's hills and grassy plains. During the period of The Galactic Civil War it was under heavy occupation of the empire. Lothal was used by the Empire as a mining planet, and eventually all resources were mined from the planet. Lothal City was the capital of of Lothal and had several administrations such as the Imperial Mining Institute. Lothal was captured later towards the end of the Galactic Civil War.
