Arx End of Sun (Beta) - Patch #1 (v1.4) - Provides updates to the initial 1.3 full beta release to address the main issues found during the public beta.
Arx End of Sun (Beta) - Patch #1 (v1.4)
Prerequisites:
Full beta release (setup_arx_beta_v1.3.exe) already installed.
Installation Instructi
Download "arx_eos_beta_patch_v1.4.zip" and save the file to your game "base" folder. The default installation path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Arx End of Sun (Beta)\base".
Using a tool such as 7-Zip right click on "arx_eos_beta_patch_v1.4.zip" and choose "extract here".
*** Important! you must extract the files into the "base" directory and not into any sub-folder!
You should now have the following two additional files:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Arx End of Sun (Beta)\base\arx_main_0002.pk4
C:\Program Files (x86)\Arx End of Sun (Beta)\base\game01.pk4
Patch Fixes:
Freezing damage now scales from 1 to 10 depending on the duration of cold exposure. Previously equipped health rings could prevent any cold damage.
Player is hungry too frequently. Food now replenishes hunger time for 3/4 of its health value previously it was 1/4.
Fix loading a save game with a un-spent level up skill points would reset all base values to 0 wrecking all skills values.
Fix crash when loading a save game from within a currently active game session.
Fix bad monster clipping in Waterworks goblin camp map.

Windows Defender removing malware. Yeah don't trust this patch.
Claiming that the Arx End of Sun 1.4 patch is malware is complete and utter codswallop!
I have just re-downloaded the patch and scanned it with Sophos, Kaspersky and Vipre. No issues found. I extracted the patch and repeated the scan on the files. No issues found.
The patch has been downloaded over 200 times and noone else has reported any issues.

BTW - don't ever equip the cursed rings! (just sell them) there is a bug where your mana etc can go negative and you won't be able to use magic.
I will sort out another patch to fix a few things found since the last patch at some point.

I'm not a fan of games that use that mechanic ,i think it was removed from Arx-Lib.
I did read some people complaining that it was still happening in Arx-Lib,so maybe it's something that needs more investigation.
You're supposed to just eat once and it won't bother you again.
It's not working for some people , i presume they have done the "eat once" thing.
Oh god I wore it before i could even use magic!
Does this fix a (bug?) by which I must eat every two minutes or start starving?
Madness! Sadly, couldn't get more than 10 minutes in before that mad me nuts.
Thanks guys, very nice game btw if no one reported there's geometry problems in the underground level where there's plants that shoot at you, after the troll that asks for fish.
