I would reckon the mate's asking because they've got a poor connection to whichever mirror moddb's downloading it from. That or they want to futureproof a download in case moddb goes down? Either way, these issues can be remedied through a number of ways aside from torrent uploads, so idk why they'd decide to go to that as their first choice.

Please keep your great remastered mod always up to date to the current game version. Unfortunately 1.41a is broken, so a new patch has to be coming soon.

German should work, just the phonograph inside study does not have subtitles made for it.

man do you have winrar installed? I reckon you do.
a) Use the repair function (alt+R).
b) If you cannot even open the file up - use WinRAR and browse to where the archive is located and use the repair option directly on the archive.

How do i install this mod? The Readme says to replace the Amnesia dark descent folder in Common but are you meant to delete the original folder and replace the mod? Or just drag it and drop it?
Dragging and dropping makes it ask me if i want to Put the 2 files together into one. Thats the only option i got. Theres no replace option. So there will still be files from the original folder.
Is this correct or do i need to delete the folder entirely and replace it? Really confusing atm.
Replace the "Amnesia The Dark Descent" folder with the "Amnesia The Dark Descent" folder.
Replace the "main_settings.cfg" file with the "main_settings.cfg" file.

Only problem would appear if your game was not from steam. The game's .exe (Amnesia.exe) will be located inside the redist folder.
If that's the case - Drag and drop the contents of the modded Amnesia The Dark Descent folder and drop it where the Amnesia.exe is.
I'm running this on a GTX 1650 but even on low settings its running at like 10fps in the intro and then crashes? This has never happened on normal amnesia for me I get bang on 60fps

Is it correct that you also restored the Refinery level where in old Amnesia versions up to 1.2 the hole in the wall is hidden by boxes and in later versions above 1.3 they removed the boxes so that the hole is free and visible by default?
I love the old level design, because this was some kind of physics based puzzle. This is so annoying that they make it easier for the noobs to find the hole. But your mod - thanks god - restored it!
Unfortunately there are some ugly things of this normally very great and beautiful mod.
1. Removed light rays of windows in Back Hall
2. The baby face of the fountain in Back Hall has a brown shimmer
3. Some stairs & pillars textures looks too clean
4. Fog and lighting effects cause ugly color layerings
Please update these things and the mod is perfect.
Fair criticism, but I will not be updating the mod.
This mod really needs polishing. It's such a fantastic mod, but unfortunately it's like a beta. There are so many "broken things" most in the Back Hall. The baby face fountain is brown, a tree is growing through a window left next to the fountain, there are white lines around windows, some times window light rays are missing, fabrics have also white lines around texture, and so forth.
The textures I can fix for myself, but not these shader/lighting issues. I replaced file by file to find out what broke the baby face in Back Hall and it's the .map file from that level. Maybe I have to learn with the mod tools to fix it and to continue development of your mod, but I can't. I have no knowledge in editing and modding.
And the lighting of all light sources and simply all fog effects cause very ugly color layerings.
Sorry, I can't use this mod with all these bad things. But I would love to use it, because it has nice features and looks generally much better, if there would be more polishing.
Can you at least tell me why you don't update your mod?
Здравствуйте.Не могу загрузить игру Amnesia the dark descent,при загрузке вылазит окно с чудиком и там написано :game crash amnesia the dark descent.Первый раз как только скачала,поиграла и сохранила,все норм было,на следующий день уже мне выдало такое!Винду уже переустановила и толку ноль,драйвера разные улучшала и все также!Хотя,в 2019 проходила на ХП и все норм,всю прошла!Помогите решить эту проблему!

I remembered playing amnesia the dark descent on my channel for the first time it got me more subscribers, so I might give this mod a go to see how well its changed :)
